I think a really popular video would be how to create a hybrid home office and guest bedroom. This is the most sought after thing for houses under a million in the UK.

Ideally do one for a space that's 12' x 12' with one window opposite the door! ;)

Could u find any video about exactly this?
I’d love to see a video on how to plan and design a dedicated home office room from scratch as most videos on KZread just show to do incorporate it in a living room or so.
THIS MAN IS A GODSEND!!!!! I LOVE HIS IDEAS.
Minimalist desk essential, but keep the “Knick knacks” and stationary etc nearby as being practical is important too
Yay! Another upload! :D Love your tips
I love the things you point out
Omg I was just checking to see if you posted a new video 😅 love your channel ❤ can’t wait to use all your tips to decorate my apartment one day
I have 2 sliding doors. They came with vertical blinds which I don’t like. I’d like something that won’t take up a lot of visual space, and simple. I do need privacy at night but during the day I open them for the sunlight. Thanks for your recommendation. Michele
I just got a new desk to replace the card table that was unstable. I have a cat. He uses my leather office chair as a scratching post (ignoring the scratching posts around the room). The new desk has two cubby holes which he loves to relax or hide in. My old desk had my cousin’s bargello quilt as a tablecloth. That quilt is now hung up on the wall behind my desk.

Wow, I have had several cats and never have they touched the leather furniture as in scratching. I think it is most unusual. 🤥
Thanks for the video! I'm wondering what would be considered too big of a desk for a space? I do art and design so a long desk is a dream, but I also don't want the room to feels too cramped, would be great to get any advice from you regarding that. Thank you!
Thanks for the tips! Great as usual, much appreciated. I need to set up a hone office in my open plan living room/kitchen/dining space as I don't want it to contaminate my bedroom Restful vibes (one of those who do not like TV in room). I have a young son who plays xbox on TV. How do I delineate a work zone effectively? Thanks in advance!
The problem is that ergonomical chairs are often not that nice. I picked the markus chair from Ikea. Fir me it was important to be comfortable and it suites the standing desk quite good
Great tips
Hello Reynard, I loved the video as usual, but I have a problem. I'm a college student and I live with my parents, our apartment is very small, and for my studies I must incorporate a "Home Office" in my bedroom. What kind of suggestions do you have in this scenario? Maybe is this something worth of a video idea? 👀

I thought about that question too. Usually the "experts" would tell you that you should decorate your bedroom that would put you in sleep mode and design your workspace that would keep you sober--make sense, but how about when you need to set up an office in the bedroom?

When I was in high-school and later in Uni in a dorm, I assigned a role to every space in my room. My dorm room was very small, but I managed to make it work! So my bed is off limits and is only for sleeping, my carpet was my chill cocooning area, i had a reading area as well! My work area, which was my desk, had everything I needed to work efficiently and better! Assigning a « role » to every space in your room makes it easier for your brain to (1) stay disciplined (2) stay focused! I hope this helps ✨☺️

I used to have a desk in my bedroom as well! Some of the things I found helpful are: 1. Dividing them into zones (work zone, sleeping zone, reading zone, etc) depending on how big your room is. Require a bit discipline, but helps the brain associate each zones for a specific task. Can even use divider or curtain if you want to take it a bit further. 2. Desk facing away from the bed (face a wall, window, anything other than bed). 3. Lighting - very important! Layer them, task ambiance etc. This will help guide our circadian rhythm, so cooler temperature and brighter when you need to work during the day, and warmer when you try to relax - similar to how the sun works. Especially helpful when the room lacks natural light. And having a shutdown ritual after finishing work/study is helpful as well. You can read more about this from author Cal Newport.

@@reynardlowell Thank you Reynard!
I do like the white table nice and simple.
Uplift Desks are fantastic. a little on the high side but for $1200, it can't be beat
I really like that you provide links 👍
Hi Reynard :) Thank you for your informative, straight-to-the point videos Could you give some advice on how to delimit (psychologically or otherwise) the home office from the bedroom, when one cannot place the office in any other room? Thank you!

This is from another channel, but might help you! In this case, the bed was elevated so it created a sense of "other zone" and avoided temptations to get into bed kzread.info/dash/bejne/pYCgkseEZKudl7Q.html I hope it helps!

I just gave my in-depth thought to this on another comment!
Neat video. Thank-you
For decent wifi coverage you could also use repeaters/mesh solutions if your home office ends up in the basement or the garden shed (yeah, I am married😊). There are a couple of brands out there that do just that (Asus, Google, Netgear, etc.). For chairs, a possible (read cheaper) alternative to Herman Miller & consorts might be a good gaming chair. Sure they tend to look tacky, but your back will thank you if you spend 8 to 10 hours sitting on it everyday. Stand up desks are also a good option, Ikea has some manual ones that won't break the bank.

Hello, Congratulations Cool 👍👏👏👏
Where is that pastel artwork above the desk from?? Thank you!
For those living in studio or 1 bedroom apartments, is it better to set up your home office in your bedroom or living room?

Either would be fine, and I suggest a ladder shelf with a fold down desk, they are space saving, functional and look nice. My daughter has one in her bedroom. When the desk isn't in use, fold it up and everything is hidden away. Google it and you'll see what I mean. I'm sure you'll like it
I love your videos and your tips! This video was great as well. I would love to ask though. I live in the US and all your amazing furniture suggestions are Australian companies that don't ship out of Australia. It would be so helpful if you sometimes suggested furniture companies that ship all over. Im just being selfish but again love your stuff and the furniture you use. Thank you!
In your intro at 0:08 you show that "magnetic" pencil incl. holder - what product is that? I would love to add that to my desk to avoid having my pencil flying around on the desk all the time.
We’re moving and i work at the dining table right now and have yoga mat laying permanently behind me haha cuz my baaaaack omg

4:27 where is the monitor stand from?
I was looking for ideas about WHERE to put your office when you have NO space, not good chair, good desk, good lighting lol...
who makes the monitor stand you have in your video (4:27)?
feedback: on the title slides on your videos avoid white background since it’s too bright for the eyes
Can someone please Tell me what pencil + stand HE uses in that Video?
what model is that monitor? The 4k or QHD version? I'm using em 27 4k dell, but I mostly do sheets and my company`s system. Not getting very used to que extra real state and proportions. Very weird for someone used to 1080p 23 inch. I hate apple and how they make you addicted to retina displays. The way that windows renders it s fonts is way better for different displays. I might go back to dual 24inch monitors and get used to pixelization
Where can we find that chair that's shown @ 8:00
Can u pls do a vid on footrests
link to cardigan? pleeeease!

You don't really need an ergo/pc chair, you just need a good chair. A good dining chair (vitra/fritzhansen etc.) will be ergonomically better than an ergo chair in the same price range. Plus they're not hideous to look at :/
@lowwastehighmelanin

Not necessarily. Depends on your employment situation tbh. My job REQUIRES that we follow ergo principles at home and if you complain about pain they schedule an ergo consult. It impacts health insurance rates.

As someone who spends 8-10 hours in a desk, not so sure I agree with that. A good ergo chair and a good comfortable desk are 100% worth the investment

@@hectormejia499 A good ergo chair (herman miller, humanscale etc.) sure, my point is cheap ergo chairs will not be more ergonomically better than a good dining chair. Ergo chairs also requires you to lean back while working to get the full "ergonomic" experience, which not everyone does.

Absolutely. I have a pretty chair with a pillow and it has been much more comfortable and better for my posture than all the ergo chairs combined from the past. And I do 8-10 hours every day.
