HOME Making-Of : Kenya, Kilimandjaro

Фильм және анимация

In the last few years, the world-famous snows of Kilimanjaro have suffered from the effects of global warming. The surface area of the glaciers has gone from 12 to 2 square kilometers in a single century. 2009 seems to have been a better year for fresh snowfall but the impact of global warming could mean that the highest point in Africa (5,891 meters) could lose its "eternal snows" by 2020.

Mount Kilimanjaro is in TANZANIA. We dont need patent right but it is on the land of Peace, Tanzania where largest national park Serengeti is found.

I wonder what the per-capita CO2 use of this film crew is? I'm guessing it's off the charts

Amazing, incredible movie! Too bad it won't change a thing.... I was in America for one year. It was wonderful and the people were very friendly. But all they care about is Football and their pickup truck. Most of them don't give shit on real problems mankind has. Too bad...

You're right, I shouldn't say American's are like that. You cannot say something like that about any country. But where I was it was just unbelievable sometimes. The students said they don't give a shit about other countries and their culture; everything outside America doesn't matter... And I'm the one with a limited view? ^^

@SgtMako I do not judge, I state my opinion. Of course it is not very helpful to generalize a whole country, but neither is to glamorize it. We as rich countries are not considerate of other poor countries and the entire world in general. All we are looking for is money, profit and money. Ask your republican leaders why they are not willing to improve solar industries but to keep polluting the world with oil?! All they want is keep the unethical amount of money they gain with it. Not the people

You let prejudges and stereo types direct your thinking. Americans are not self centered. American culture and any culture for that matter is far more complex then a unthoughtful comment such as yours. I challenge you to return to the US some day with a more open mind and expand your views. Americans DO "give a shit". And for the record I own an old pickup truck and could be seen as a "typical American" to some one who can't see beyond the surface of stereo types.
