CAUTION: will not work unless the threads on the draw stud match H/F cylinder, it is 3/4" fine thread. Most pipe expanders are 3/4" Coarse thread

Yep. I bought both from harbor freight today and the expander was coarse thread while the cylinder was fine. Now I gotta wait to get to an exhaust shop so they can expand the part for me. Bummer.

Nice video, only thing wrong is the bearing needs to face to ram side not the expander side , the bearing helps it don’t bind up , it needs to spin with it when u winds it in

I’d like to use this for 2” galvanized pipe on a greenhouse build but I’d want a 6” depth to mitigate stress.

Not sure which “other” video you’re referring to but there is a video with the harbor freight pump clearly showing everything threads on. Not sure why you would but the third item>portapower hydraulic pump when it’s not necessary.

Have you had the opportunity to use this at all since this video? Wondering if you have any further thoughts on it after using. Seen a guy mention that the draw stud stripped after a few months of continuous use but nothing else negative.

Used it today. I can't speak to the stripping draw stud... that seems odd to me. It doesn't rotate when used with the hydraulic ram so it should not strip. What's nice is that it works for the punch kit as well as the expander.

I just did this mod to my astro pipe expander........ And it works really well at a third of the price. And if you look up the lisle version you will find out that it's made in America with globally source parts.......can you say China. But why should you pay more for something some one else put together. From parts that are produced in China. When you can do it yourself?
