Negotiate for minimum processing fee * Legal and Technical due diligence: Lump sum fee to check property documents, site inspection and valuation * MODT charges: 0.1 to 0.2% of home loan amount * Home loan insurance. Is not mandatory. * Prepayment or foreclosure charges. 2-3% prepayment penalty if it is a fixed interest loan or you are transferring loan to another bank. * Conversion charges. * Switching fee. To move from fixed to floating interest rate loan or vice versa * Changing loan tenure. Fixed fee 1000 rupees

    I am also from home loans department i want to add something extra here about charges 1) kisis reason se kuch issue hota hai property me to TSR ka extra kharcha ho dakta hai . 2) resale me buy karoge to draft agreement and society ke kuch transfer fees extra ho sakta hai 3) register mortgage agar bank bolta hai kisi tarah se karne ko to uska 2 percent loan amount ka extra charges pakad lo.

    Sir, in Telangana State the MODT stamp duty is 0.5%of the loan amount. If I am not wrong , it varies from one state to another.

    My dear you should transfer your loan interest paying system to repo link lending rate because nowadays repo rate is 4% and you can save enough money in interest.
