This movie is a good movie and a lesson to learn for house byers! I am also from middle class and home is our dream. I wanted to share we are facing same situation in my family. My own sister. She bought a very small individual double bed room house 10 yrs ago in Telangana state, India. Her family is living in that house and paying all type of taxes. But 3 years ago 4 units owners out of 89 units wanted to build 2nd floor so they went to city to get the permission then officers visited and all owners received the notices that the builder not followed the rules so they will demolish their units. The owners went to court and got stay order but still suffering & fighting in court to legalize and praying the penalty must be with in their budget! If the officers visited once & inspected after construction completed and demolish immediately when rules not followed then we don't suffer today. Court must punish all the builders who constructed illegal / not followed the rules and also city officers for not inspecting after construction completed!

Wonderful movie - every actor/actress transformed into their characters 👏. Struggles of middle class society in urban landscape is captured beautifully - how they get lured into by promises made by builders unaware of legal complexities, general ... Ending is also superb - with another challenge popping up - probably for a sequel 🙂 Only aspect I felt which can be improved is: length of the movie - though overall story flow went smoothly. Kudos to the entire team.....

Why the people have to suffer the stress when the banks and financial institutions sanction housing loans without checking the OC or the number of floors sanctioned by BMC? An EXCELLENT production!! Even in the background in crowded scenes, everyone was expected to play their part & it was done - There must have been several retakes, but the result was very realistic!! This reminded me of the times when property was expensive, and one had to be well off to live in good parts of Bombay. Today, in Mumbai - even the remote outskirts are over-developed, crowded, & not only EXPENSIVE, but outrageous!! This film was a good depiction of what tenants go through & how the rich exploit the masses!! Fortunately, the higher levels of the Judicial System are still quite honorable & respected, even today. It's horrifying to see how the chain of command keeps the corruption going, and the country losing. The middle classes get squeezed between the filth (filthy rich & filthy poor) because they are hard working, educated and proud. As Mahatma Gandhi put it: The world has enough to satisfy everyone's need not everyone's greed. The ending was rather unexpected, but very realistic!! So as long as our government officials & the Ambani types want MORE instead of enough - THIS problem is likely to continue. Good ol' Bombay was once my home - Long before it became Mumbai & outrageously expensive!! When I see the price in rupees of some Indian items that we buy here, I'm baffled by the inflation!! But there WERE absolutely wonderful memories, that one can only have in a place like Hindustan, that I shall treasure. Jai Hind & Namaste from USA!!✌
