My 88 yr old father, a retired sea Captain who suffers from advanced dementia, lives with us, when he heard this song, he just smiled and pronounced it "beautiful". This is quite an accomplishment,, as his life is fading and we near the time he goes to Jesus, he is less and less in this world...but he perked up and listened to the whole song. I have asked that question many many times. I have requested their songs from local stations and they never play them. I really would love to know the reason, it cant be the quality of the music, we know better than that. They are the Best out there !!!!!

Acapella groups rarely "top the charts." But they do develop huge followings🙂. Pentatonix and Naturally 7 are two fantastic groups who don't play on radio, but are huge around the world.

I honestly believe it is the ”country” sound. That is not so big worldwide as it is in the us. Mind, you I would never ask them to leave their main genre, but I think this is a reason. Another is, as said above, acapella very seldom hits radio in a broader sense.

Radio stations are rather lazy and rely on the record companies to supply new material. Because of the way the companies treat new signings, HF declined the offer they had (from Sony, I think). However they are now on Spotify and getting amazing figures on YT, so maybe someone will notice their music.

A violinist family member sent me an email to listen “Mary Did You Know” and I spent the rest of the morning listening to as much as your repertoire as I could. As listener and professional musician (3 degrees) lover of all GOOD & GREAT MUSIC, I am blown away: ARRANGEMENTS are first class-loyal to the original while extending the intent way beyond with extraordinary imagination. I especially like the interlude/jams based on elements from the tune (Brilliant!), SINGERS, both individually and collectively you are a BIG WOW! Your individuality shines through and it’s wonderful to share the melody all arround while preserving a very clean ensemble. REPERTOIRE: While doing wonders with well known country and pop tunes, you all seem capable of just about anything. In short, of all the a cappella groups I heard (and there are some good ones) you guys are the VERY BEST! Keep doing what you’re doing and get you PR people to up their game because you deserve more exposure: TV, Tiny Desk, etc. PS: all visual presentation elements are EXCELLENT too!

Thank you Home Free for this beautiful song. I belted out Winter Song, along with you, at my mothers' snow covered grave a few days ago. (I'm pretty sure someone was looking for the dying cat!) As she has just recently passed, this song has given me great peace. My dad was diagnosed with extensive lung cancer the day after we buried my mom. Next December I will be singing this wonderful heartfelt song to both of them. I NEED you to know how your amazing talents are positively affecting this world . You have the ability to make others truly feel peace and joy. I wish for you, your families and all the Home Fries as much health, happiness, and kindness that is possible to experience.

I completely agree with you, they have worked so hard for the recognition and they very much deserve it !!!!!! Why do we see artists with much less talent getting awards and Home Free barely recognized. Lets figure out what to do and go for it !!!!!!!!

Adam Chance sounds so good then in comes Austin with his beautiful voice and contrast so well. Together they are all amazing but each one has a fantastic voice and the beat boxing is superb. Just love all you guys and your wonderful arrangement- love the album xxx

He control his silky smooth voice in this as a baritone, we needed him to more of his lower register as a baritone.

Adam Rupp, you Sir, don't get nearly the credit you deserve for what you do. Hit the beatboxing totally out of the park! This is quite possibly my most favorite song on the album, so incredibly perfect, moving and heartfelt. Thank you again for another wonderful video!!!

I work in end of life care... this hit home on so many levels... seeing our residents dying, leaving behind so many questions, so much pain... plus COVID restrictions meaning they will die without ever seing our full faces... y’all made me cry

I can't count how many times I have listened to this song. Home Free, you have been one of the big blessings is my life since I found your music earlier last year. The pandemic has been hell for so many. What a beautiful and haunting song. I was singing along with your video today and had a really good cry that I really hadn't been able to do. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, 10 members of my family got Covid. My parents and 95 year old grandma included. We were blessed not to lose them, though my father was hospitalized, and my grandmother is still recovering in a care facility. I haven't seen them since the end of October. I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Nothing has felt real, and I have been working on not being scared, and getting really depressed. This song is so beautiful. I found hope in it, as well as joy listening to your other music. God bless you and your families. Peace!❤️

I only started liking a cappella about a year ago and I fell in love with this group. Austin, you have the most beautiful voice in the history of voices!!!
