A huge statement has been reinforced numerous times over the last half dozen years when notorious artists have collaborated with Home Free in singing legacy hits and in several cases have reached out to Home Free. Home Free has shown extraordinary respect to these artists to the point there is mutual respect and admiration that is very visible both ways. Home Free is a very humble group of guys who know how to pay their respects as they showcase these well-respected and well-known artists. Just wow, and we are the benefactors of this wonderful trust as they deliberately give each other and us a chance to enjoy once again a freshness to the decades that gone on before us with a wonderful tribute. Home Free is showing the industry a strong core value of High Regard, Strong Consideration, Attentiveness, High Opinion, and Due Regard for those who have set the stage for the music we enjoy today. Thank You Home Free, for your leadership by action that we all admire and appreciate doing things the right way!!!!! ❣

This is truly phenomenal! What a voice Don McLean still has! Wow. And of course Austin also sang great, but Rob's voice is just perfect for this song. His voice so warm, soft as silk and full of emotion. The quiet background vocals and guitar playing complete it for me. It's the same song as my youth, but with the Home Free twist it's something different. A beautiful song where I, of course, as a Dutch person, know the history of Vincent van Gogh well. If I could, I would have given Don McLean and Home Free a bouquet of sunflowers in memory of Vincent. The sunflower one of his most famous paintings 🌻......💖 💖💖💖💖💖

You summed it up perfectly- HomeFree is all about the tight harmonies and telling a story. There are indeed moments - some stunning bass and soaring riffs, interesting percussion, great solos - but the core are the harmonies, arrangements, and consistency. Thank you for your reaction.

Don is 78 and still sounding awesome. It is nice in this one we get to hear Adam Rupp join in the harmonies too.

This is such a great song by Don McLean! He first recorded it in 1972. What a great remake with Home Free! Rob's voice is perfect for this song. Such a beautiful tribute to the sad life of the painter Vincent Van Gogh. He suffered from depression & committed suicide. He never saw any success during his life. But now his paintings are worth millions of dollars. Tim Foust (Bass with a 5 octave range) Adam Rupp original co-founder of Home Free with brother Chris (Beatboxer vocal percussionist extraordinaire) Austin Brown (High tenor) Has musical theatre training. Adam Chance known just as Chance (baritone) Rob Lundquist (2nd tenor) Has some opera training.

Excellent summary. Just to add - Chance has a 4 octave range and can hit an A1, often covering bass when Tim sings lead or a high tenor harmony.

Great reaction! LOVING this new rendition/dare I say upgrade with Don McLean and #HomeFree. It gives me the feels; I'm sure with all the sweet/soft harmonies it comes across as far simpler than it is in reality, but Home Free makes it sound effortless and beautiful!

So good. HF have phenomenal singers so they can all take the lead depending on the song. Ok, Rob (glasses and big beard), Chance (knit hat), Austin (redhead in bun) Adam (beatboxer with longer hair in this but he cut it), Tim (bass with gray hair). Don sounded great for his 70’s. One suggestion….put your face in the bottom of the screen so we can see the singers. Your face covered Rob. 3 of them also write original songs for the group. 😍🤩

You mentioned American Pie, well they actually collaborated with Don McLean on that one too. He asked them to collab with him to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the song. They also collaborated with the late great Kenny Rogers with a song called Children Go Where I Send Thee and paid a tribute to him when he died with his song The Gambler. Aside from that, definitely check out their version of Man of Constant Sorrow. That's the song that reactors usually start their Home Free journey with. They are mostly considered a "country" acapella band, but they do all genres of music, pop, rock, R&B, Christmas songs, a little bit of rapping, shoot, 2 members of the group even did an opera song. They also have their own original songs, some of them have solo stuff, and the beatboxer always does a beatboxing/drum solo at their concerts. I promise, they will not disappoint! Oh, and the Home Free fans are called "Home Fries"! 😃

This is so gorgeous. It is impressive that Don has tapped Home Free to back him on the re-releases of both of his most iconic songs. If you haven't seen the 50th anniversary video of American Pie, I highly recommend it. They also back him on the title track of his new album, American Boys. There's an audio-only video on Don's channel. It's a bop. And, yes, Home Free always makes the music the focus. There are some really goofy videos, but even then the music is the point.

Left to right, Tim Foust (Bass to tenor), Adam Rupp (percussion and tenor), Austin Brown (high tenor and leaving the band at the end of the current tour), Adam Chance (bass, baritone, and tenor), and Rob Lundquist (tenor and baritone). Each member can take the lead on any song which is what makes them so fantastic.

When they collaborated on "American Pie" it was done separately during the Covid lockdowns. It so nice that they can be together for "Vincent". Home Free's harmonies are incomparable & Don McLean is such a masterful lyricist - this song is so deep, it's poetry set to music. I'd love a copy of that picture with HF & Don McLean . .
