Wait......was that the bass guy singing the tenor part at the beginning???!!!...ok call me totally shocked.....how many octaves range does he have? holy sheeeeeeeeeetttttt. This group and PTX are 2 of my favorite groups to listen to now!!

Yes it was. Tim Foust has a 5+ octave range and he knows how to use all of them very well.

this is why people say to wait on Mayday if you don't know Tim is usually the bass, you don't get the full effect when he opens this song

It's always a pleasure to hear Tim singing in his upper range, as wonderful as his lower range is. And Chance's low note! It knocked my socks off the first time I listened to this. This song still gives me chills when I hear it. Thanks! ^_^

Tim has such range. If you haven't seen their cover of Josh Turner's Your Man you need to. I sit here watching you listen with your eyes closed saying "open your eyes so you can see how amazing they are!" LOL I just started watching you a couple of days ago and already feel like we're musical soul sisters.

Confession: I'm actually getting caught up on some Home Free videos that I've missed over the last few years because of your reaction videos, and I somehow missed this one. When you hear Tim Faust sing at the beginning of this song, and you already know how low he can go with the bass, his range is pretty incredible. And this goes back to the additional flexibility that I mentioned before when they brought in a guy like Adam Chance who could cover the bass parts so that Tim could do more lead singing.

I discovered Home Free the year they won the sing off. God blessed with me with the ear but not the voice. I am so pleased to hear someone else also be amazed that these guys are not #1 on the charts. Who could not love everything they've done? Side note, I so enjoy watching your joy. My daughter is nine now. She's been signing offkey with me & HF in the truck since she was 3, she thinks they are her boy band. As far as the bass, welcome to Texas men.

HF had a great time messing ing with the audience! 2 basses in group but Tim was the opening tenor, Chance the Bass! Nice reaction!

So glad they let Chance show off how sweet his bass voice is. All everyone talks about is Tim's bass and how deep it is, but I think that Chance has a beautiful bass and hope that they let him out front with it more. Believe it or not, Tim has the largest singing range of the group. As you check out more of home free, you will listen to the 5 octaves he can effortlessly cover

IMHO other than their raw talent, they have the ability to find ways to showcase each persons ability in their music and trust me they are all extremely talented.

Tim started it out higher and Chance actually was doing that deep bass on this one towards the end.

they are well known, they even had several concerts out of the country last year and this year. they hit 1 million subscribers a few months ago

Simone you are categorically in all measurements, now an official Home Fry - reacting to MayDay seals the deal. Compare their sound with Chance to their sound with Chris....Chance has made them deeper & harmonies richer I think. Now you should look at House Party where Chris is singing in the video but Chance is featured in a non-singing role. It's a great one, and have your dancing shoes on !!!! How about Mr Rupp's beatboxing in this one ? Amazing

Wholeheartedly agree about the difference Chance made to their sound. I recall a radio interview the guys did a few years ago and even Tim said it took them 17 years to find all the RIGHT members. Home Fries please note this is not a dig at Chris Rupp in any way, shape or form. W/O Chris Home Free wouldn't exist.

Love this song, for a song about wanting to break up it really is a pretty catchy tune. I suggest also checking out the original by Cam. Her version is a bit different, but still really good. Now that you’ve seen Tim’s range here I think you should check out his cover of Elvis’ Can’t Help Falling in Love that he did before he joined Home Free. It’s audio only, but definitely worth a listen.

You seem warm brighten the wonderful Don't close your eyes when doing a reaction it's a video you're missing it you drinking the music when you listen to the second time you can take us with. Up front from left to right Rob is the big guy with the beard he sings second tinner and falsetto, in the middle is Tim he's singing falsetto right now and he's the Bass, Austin sings first tenor, and also sings falsetto! Now the two in the back starting on the left, the beatboxer is Adam, he's magical. Next is Chris, who looks like Leonardo DiCaprio, he sings second Tenor, also Alto which is mid-range, and Baritone as you just heard!

Sweet switch-up on their usual vocal positions. The talent in this group is incredible.

I really enjoyed your reaction and outlook on Good Music. Hearing a song, especially the Good ones the first time can almost be like an emotional journey, a high and even a religious experience. Something you may have trouble recapturing after listening to it over and over, or even just the second time. That experience is well worth it... On the other hand many reactors tend to stop the video 20 times and critique it, or even to praise it and they miss out on the full effect. it is MUCH more enjoyable to experience it for the first time WITH you and not get repeated interruptions. PS: this was the first time i heard this song as well, and because you didn't pause it multiple times I got to enjoy it in its full. thank you very much for that.

first time I heard and saw Home Free it was Oh Holy Night and I couldn't figure out where the sounds were all coming from---lol I knew what they were but I was thinking barber shop quartet ---

My wife and I have been following you for the start because of how clearly honest and moved you are by these guys. And, again, that outro of yours impresses me with how good of a soul you are. Great reaction! One of the favorites of most of us for sure! They killed it on this song. But I do feel this is a very emotional song, about breaking up, letting someone go. A tear-jerker if you've been through that in life! But yet, this song is incredible. So many surprises in it too! Take care.

So happy you did this one. The talent is only seen if you follow them. It is hard to appreciate what each one can do by just a few songs. There is still more surprises for you from our guys. I will chill every time I hear this one. Talent like this coming together and having so much fun doing what they love is rare. These guys are way more than talent, they are deep down good men. So glad you see it as well. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for another wonderful reaction - this is a great song, and a great performance, even if you've never heard of them before, but there's just something added when you know it's all them, no instruments, and when you know Tim and Chance and how they normally sing. Because this was originally sung by a female artist, it's generally higher than a lot of music they sing, if you'd like something as a contrast, Hillbilly Bone is a lot of fun, and a lot of bass.

Every Home Fry loves this one!
