Adding Chance really set Tim free to do more baritone and tenor parts because Chance can easily cover the bass. "Hey, guys. Let's do this Cam cover in the original key". "Sure, but we need three tenors and Adam will be busy with Percussion". Actually, Chance could probably have done it, too, but this was an opportunity to show off his bass as well as Tim's tenor. The behind the scenes for this one has been released, you might enjoy that.

Yeah, Tim has a 5+ octave range and Chance has a 4+ octave range. That gives HF a lot of flexibility in their arranging. Tim sings a lot of little bits and pieces of high harmony in their songs (as does Adam Rupp on occasion). The one that comes to mind is "Love Me Like That" where there's a high harmony above Austin's lead at points that's right where Rob's voice breaks between chest and head, so Tim does it -- just goes up, beans that high harmony, and then drops back down to bass like it's no big thing.

Tim has a 5 or 6 octave range. Even at the end he was singing a harmony higher than Rob. Tim has says that when guys ask him how to be able to sing low like he does, he tells them to work on singing higher first.😅

This is a cover of a song by Cam - I think if I were the original singer I'd hate to have Home Free cover it ('cuz their cover is usually even better). Of course the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific - they always are! That’s the reason we all tell new listeners to Home Free to wait for three to four songs before listening to Mayday. It really shows how amazing these guys really are. If you haven’t listened to Brothers in Arms you should and please check out Misty Mountain with Peter Hollens ft. Tim Foust. It unbelievable!!

This one has blown a lot of people's minds! And, if you ask Tim who has the widest range, he will say Adam Rupp the beat boxer! Their primary goal is to find who sounds the best on each song. They really support each other and don't appear to have any ego trips going on. They are all so incredibly talented, so they work at giving the others their time in the spotlight. Mayday is a cover song, originally sung by Cam. And the boys switch things around pretty often. Tim has a five octave range, so he can easily hit the tenor registry. When he's singing lead (or another part), Chance (baritone/bass range) fills in with the bass. I really enjoyed your reaction.

Surprise!!! Just when you think you "know" Home Free, they up their game and you discover even more talent amongst them. After you've seen more of their work, you will get to the point the rest of the Home Fries are at. Nothing they do will surprise you. Cam was co-writer for "Mayday." There's a good Wikipedia article about the song, called: "Mayday (Cam song)." I checked it out when Home Free came out with this cover, which I like a WHOLE lot better than Cam's version. 😀 I was waiting for the "TIM???" reaction. (grin) I checked to see if you had, by any chance, reacted to Tim and Peter Hollens singing, "Greensleeves," and you have not. After hearing this one, you really should. You will get a HUGE treat, with, actually, the beautiful range gymnastics of BOTH men. Tim, especially gets to show off. Check it out. It will probably ruin any other version of it, in your ears. 😀 You are not alone with getting blown away by the changes in roles for this song. We ALL did that upon first hearing the song! This is why we Home Fries warn people NOT to react to this one until they get pretty familiar with the group as a whole. This song is one of my favorites. So glad you waited to react to it. Your surprise at hearing the switch ups in the voices was great. Tim can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. And Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. This song is sung by a woman Cam, so they sung it in a higher key to match the original.

Wayfaring Stranger is billed as Adam Chance feat. The Hound + The Fox, while The Sound of Silence is The Hound + The Fox feat. Adam Chance. Recorded same place, same time and it's impossible to tell which came first. So I play them three or four...or five times through. And Tim's doo wop videos are Come Go With Me, Since I Don't Have You, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay, and In My Room. They're from his album Pieces of Me vol.1. The whole album is terrific. Except for In My Room. It's not on Tim I never cared for that song. Until VoicePlay's did a video for it. Love that one.

Buckle UP. You never know what you're going to get with Home Free!!! Watch the interview about how they all met. I am sure you know so much more about them now since you have become a Home Fry. Adam and his brother started the group. He is the bald member and is no longer with them ( He left, I believe because he got married). Chance replaced him, who was the base for another group. Adam is a world Champ at what he does. Rob came second; wait until you see what he can do with his voice. You will be shocked like Tim singing so high. Next was Tim; they met Austin on a cruise ship where they all were performing, and they snatched him up. Last is Chance; he was the base for another group. They won one of the television shows. I think it was the sing-off, which is pretty funny When you listen to End of the Road. One of the judges and a member of Bouz II Men. And they performed his own song on the show. Most of the ladies in the Videos are their wives or girlfriends. If you look closely at the Butts, Melody. When they show the Ham samich. Look at Tim, he is eating it. I am sure I am not the only one that has filled you in. OH, if you have not listened to Don't Laugh at Me and Delta Dawn, you are missing out. I apologize for the essay, but your reaction makes me really happy. You can tell it is genuine because you smile with your eyes as well. This is a cover of a song by Cam - I think if I were the original singer I'd hate to have Home Free cover it ('cuz their cover is usually even better). Of course the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific - they always are! They're all vocal chameleons - Tim has a 5+ range; Rob & Austin have an opera aria duet; check out Austin's cover of "Singed, Sealed, Delivered" (on his channel) and then just keep going!

This is one of their best covers especially for the shock factor most people are asked to wait till they have gotten to know how they normally sound so they can get that shock factor. This one has blown a lot of people's minds! And, if you ask Tim who has the widest range, he will say Adam Rupp the beat boxer! Their primary goal is to find who sounds the best on each song. They really support each other and don't appear to have any ego trips going on. They are all so incredibly talented, so they work at giving the others their time in the spotlight. Mayday is a cover song, originally sung by Cam. And the boys switch things around pretty often. Tim has a five octave range, so he can easily hit the tenor registry. When he's singing lead (or another part), Chance (baritone/bass range) fills in with the bass. I really enjoyed your reaction.
Yeah, I love when reactors get to this one, it is so fun to watch the look 👀 on their faces during this especially when Tim and Chance switch places essentially. The Holy Grail of HF videos! Mayday will always be #1 on my long list of favorites from them. Would recommend checking out the original version by Cam, they sang it in the same key she does.
The original singer, Cam, has a beautiful voice, but to my ears, Home Free takes it. I believe they sing it in her key.

After you've seen more of their work, you will get to the point the rest of the Home Fries are at. Nothing they do will surprise you. Cam was co-writer for "Mayday." There's a good Wikipedia article about the song, called: "Mayday (Cam song)." I checked it out when Home Free came out with this cover, which I like a WHOLE lot better than Cam's version. 😀 I was waiting for the "TIM???" reaction. (grin) I checked to see if you had, by any chance, reacted to Tim and Peter Hollens singing, "Greensleeves," and you have not. After hearing this one, you really should. You will get a HUGE treat, with, actually, the beautiful range gymnastics of BOTH men. Tim, especially gets to show off. Check it out. It will probably ruin any other version of it, in your ears. 😀 You are not alone with getting blown away by the changes in roles for this song. We ALL did that upon first hearing the song! This is why we Home Fries warn people NOT to react to this one until they get pretty familiar with the group as a whole. This song is one of my favorites. So glad you waited to react to it. Your surprise at hearing the switch ups in the voices was great. Tim can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. And Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. This song is sung by a woman Cam, so they sung it in a higher key to match the original.

Wayfaring Stranger is billed as Adam Chance feat. The Hound + The Fox, while The Sound of Silence is The Hound + The Fox feat. Adam Chance. Recorded same place, same time and it's impossible to tell which came first. So I play them three or four...or five times through. And Tim's doo wop videos are Come Go With Me, Since I Don't Have You, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay, and In My Room. They're from his album Pieces of Me vol.1. The whole album is terrific. Except for In My Room. It's not on Tim I never cared for that song. Until VoicePlay's did a video for it. Love that one.

We tend to forget, thanks to his incredible range, that Chance was the bassist in his prior group, Street Corner Symphony! Not quite as low as Tim, his bass line is more than enough to carry Adam Rupp's beat along those basement phrases! Buckle UP. You never know what you're going to get with Home Free!!! Watch the interview about how they all met. I am sure you know so much more about them now since you have become a Home Fry. Adam and his brother started the group. He is the bald member and is no longer with them ( He left, I believe because he got married). Chance replaced him, who was the base for another group. Adam is a world Champ at what he does. Rob came second; wait until you see what he can do with his voice. You will be shocked like Tim singing so high. Next was Tim; they met Austin on a cruise ship where they all were performing, and they snatched him up. Last is Chance; he was the base for another group. They won one of the television shows. I think it was the sing-off, which is pretty funny When you listen to End of the Road. One of the judges and a member of Bouz II Men. And they performed his own song on the show. Most of the ladies in the Videos are their wives or girlfriends. If you look closely at the Butts, Melody. When they show the Ham samich. Look at Tim, he is eating it. I am sure I am not the only one that has filled you in. OH, if you have not listened to Don't Laugh at Me and Delta Dawn, you are missing out. I apologize for the essay, but your reaction makes me really happy. You can tell it is genuine because you smile with your eyes as well. Sometimes, I wait until they get that smile or an eyebrow raised. I really enjoy all your reactions to home free as well as others.
