This showcases their real voices. They don’t use the program that corrects voices. This is all real. They do this live on stage in front of an audience. Amazing.

This is one of Home Free's masterpieces, directed by Chance, and leaving every reactor speechless for years. Nothing better demonstrates the virtuosity of each and every member of this phenomenal vocal group. Totally in sync on every line, with both the unison (no harmony) and harmony parts summing greater than their parts. Thank you for sharing your appreciation and respect for these awesome artists.

AMAZING PRECISION!! An exquisite 5-part harmony masterpiece!!! Besides the unbelievable harmonies, getting to hear Adam Rupp's sweet tenor actually singing is such a great treat ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️

There is a live recording of the band performing this as an encore off mic. They are just as clean and elegant as in this recording, with no conducting apart from Tim counting off the beats of the final section (a tricky patch) with his fingers. As posts below have said, this was Adam Chance's idea and he had a lot to do with the arrangement and direction. This just shows what a fantastic contribution he has made to the band's development.

Home Free was in Australia this past March I think. They recorded the Horses with Travis Collins and Amy Shepard. This song is one of my favorites of theirs. HF is known for tight harmonies and this really shows it. Brothers in Arms, In the Blood, Die a Happy Man. Good reaction! 😍

I grew up listening to Crosby, Stills & Nash & had their album with this song Helplessly Hoping. Absolutely loved them & their harmonies. This song is full of alliterations. Home Free more than does justice to all the songs they cover. And this song is perfection to me with the 5 part harmonies. A true masterpiece! I can't say enough about how great these guys are & humble while still staying respectful to the original song.

I know quite a few videos they use warehouses type places I don’t know where this was done . I few songs that I can think of that are warehouses type places are Brothers in Arms Woman Amen / Female End On The Road They were just in Australia a couple of months ago toured and recorded a video called The Horses ft Travis Collins and Amy Sheppard

Steven Stills wrote a great song here. It was an easy radio play, led by guitar. They aren’t too different than that original, but with 5 part harmony instead of 3, and stripped of all instruments, the effect is quite different. Like every music video everywhere, this is the prerecorded track they are singing to. But there is an audience can of them singing it live at the Ryman. No mikes. They’ve been in Australia before. Most recently at CMC in March. None of their concert dates for 2024 have been announced yet.

I have always loved CSN’s original, and am totally obsessed with Home Free’s cover. It seems so simple but in truth is very complex in its arrangement. Absolutely a master class in 5 part harmony. Will always be one of my Home Free favorites.

The capability of excellence by each of the individuals in this group is off the charts awesome that allows them the flexibility to do so many types of vocalizations and to do it exceptionally well. I have not found a genre they are afraid to tackle whether individually or as a group they are amazing. Then top that off with their arrangements that augment the presentation to be "Home Free" owned.❣

Well, it's a studio recording, and that room they're in for the video probably doesn't have anything to do with the actual location they were in, in the studio. It's just for the visuals, for the video. Just like any group that records in a studio, they'll use the high quality EQ and outboard effects, i.e. reverb, compression, limiters, whatever, to capture their voices in the best light. But there's no doubt they start off with having quality voices to begin with. So you add good voices with quality engineering and this is what you get as a result. They're awesome.

They were in Australia months ago, but are trying to work on coming back next year. I follow two other Aussie reactors. One has seen them and the other hasn’t. They are even better live! Loved your reaction! I could tell you were in awe of their cover! How could one not be? I subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to more!

This is a very raw, unshielded song and it cuts because of that. Some other 5 part songs are How Great Thou Art (Swedish hymn) and Brothers In Arms (Dire Straits) that also hit hard.
