Some crazy concept where they are stuck in a different show's universe each week sounds better than what this generic show really is. I suppose there is something like that on Netflix though these days.

I like how they acted for the commercials, but they are surprised that it has nothing to do with the show.

Yeah that was a really strange scenario... But then the whole show has a weird premise: Its about class struggle but they are siblings... so of course they will help each other out every episode. They even show that in the trailer. What's the conflict?? I'd get it if they didn't get along but the relationships just seem passive-aggressive. Which is relatable... but not funny.

@@terminatrix92 I mean that's basically the problem with Modern Family except you replace class struggle with white Diversity; gay white, rich white, middle white, all the beiges while you're at it. That show worked through creating problem seen through different viewpoints. 90% of sitcoms are just comedic misunderstandings between the cast, you don't have to have a main conflict.

@@sws212 but even how you describe modern family is more compelling than this trailer; it’s a family that encompasses modern conflict. The struggle is the hook and you lead with that. Modern Family was irreverent. But this trailer for Home Economics stresses the resolution so much that no chemistry comes across; either the rich brother funds them and they get along or he doesn’t and there relationship is strained. Relatable but apparently unfunny

Lol I did not understand this comment whatsoever because I stopped the video after the actual trailer, not even realizing there was more. So then I went back to see if I had missed something and realized I cut it off too soon. 🤦🏻‍♂️ And yes. That was super weird and odd. They filmed the bachelor parody commercial and didn’t wonder why they were filming that stuff? 🤣🤣🤣

Love love LOVE this show. Must have watched episodes so many times. Identify with it so much - for my family, I am funcle and Sarah combined. Hope it gets at least couple more seasons.

He left that show so he could fully focus on his film career so if things had gone well for him he probably wouldn't be back unfortunately. Although things are different now and outside of marvel films tv is much better quality than most movies releasing today so it's a smart move for him either way. Too bad it's a light weight sitcom.

Modern family is the big bang theory of family sitcoms. There are much better shows out there for you, like community, It's always sunny, arrested development or something with more gravity like the boys, stranger things or Umbrella academy. Sitcoms haven't been good since how I met your mother or rules of engagement. Have a great day, hope I recommended you your new favourite show.

Donald Glover has a similar career trajectory He started in a comedy group called Derrick Comedy which you can find on KZread After that he was on the show Community and then he became a rapper under the name Childish Gambino He played Lando Calrissian in Solo: a Star Wars story and is going to be Lando again in a Disney plus series

jeez, put some That 70's Show enthusiasm! i fell asleep just watching this trailer.

Am I the only one that thinks the second part of this promo could have been a show of itself. A group of long life friends try to come up with a show idea, but every idea seems to already be done. Each season could be someone's idea being played out. Boom 6 seasons.

Pop song and narration over slow mo shots of the show = heartfelt comedy

OK first they basically show the entire show as every trailer for everything does. Then, they do something amazing and should have left it exactly alone as that. Just the ending would have made me watch it.

The narrative gives me Arrested Development vibes i lowkey thought it was a sequel

ABC roasting their own shows to promote this show pretty much locks this show down for three seasons
