Okay, I'm glad all 3 of them were telling him to be proud of his achievement, because out of all 5, Mike is the hardest on himself. Look at how much he was deflecting the compliments.

Mike being so justifiably pleased with himself and the others proud of him is the wholesome content I needed today.

How about cooking from 'De re coquinaria' an ancient Roman cookbook which is available translated on Project Gutenberg? It's the earliest surviving collection of recipes from Europe.

James munching away on the sponge and going "it's really nice" was adorable 😂

I recommend the Sorted Food guys give The Canadian Home Cook Book 1877: Tried! Tested! Proven! a try. I gifted it to some American friends as a joke.

It's official. Mike is a classically-trained pastry chef. He's graduated. Jamie and Baz need to catch up.

This was a (expectedly) hilarious but (unexpectedly) endearing video! Loved the chefs softly guiding Mike to the answers in a way that encouraged him and reminded him that he does indeed know these skills and techniques.

Mike doesn’t give himself enough credit. In the battles his dishes were often my favorites!
