Okay, I'm glad all 3 of them were telling him to be proud of his achievement, because out of all 5, Mike is the hardest on himself. Look at how much he was deflecting the compliments.
Mike being so justifiably pleased with himself and the others proud of him is the wholesome content I needed today.
How about cooking from 'De re coquinaria' an ancient Roman cookbook which is available translated on Project Gutenberg? It's the earliest surviving collection of recipes from Europe.
James munching away on the sponge and going "it's really nice" was adorable 😂
I recommend the Sorted Food guys give The Canadian Home Cook Book 1877: Tried! Tested! Proven! a try. I gifted it to some American friends as a joke.
"I think you whip and then you nae nae", "that was very genoise of you" - this is why we love Jamie.
Mike is sooooo underrated 👌👌 he needs to trust himself moreeee
It's official. Mike is a classically-trained pastry chef. He's graduated. Jamie and Baz need to catch up.
“Nice Ben, s*** sandwich. Classic s*** sandwich there.” OH HOW MUCH I’VE MISSED JAMES AND HIS SAVAGENESS
I’d actually pay for an “OK Ebbers” feature on my phone lol
"Ebbers set timer for 10 minutes."
This was a (expectedly) hilarious but (unexpectedly) endearing video! Loved the chefs softly guiding Mike to the answers in a way that encouraged him and reminded him that he does indeed know these skills and techniques.
Jamie: I think you whip then you nay nay...
"Omelette Norvegienne"
Jamie helping is one of the sweetest moments ever.
This was the most wholesome Sorted episode ever! Jamie helping, James being nice, Ben helping with measurements. It was just so nice!
Mike: makes a perfect sponge
Ben: Thinking Jamie is about to ask a genuine question
Mike doesn’t give himself enough credit. In the battles his dishes were often my favorites!
