Home Concert #39 (Ambient / Berlin School Set)

Музыка

For this edition I prepared an Ambient set. Most sounds will be coming from the Waldorf Iridium, my Modular system and the Moog synths.
The last part of this set will be an improvisation on a theme by Klaus Schulze, the visionary and pioneer of electronic music, who left us this week on April 26th 2022. I hope that he is now at a better place together with Pete Namlook. Rest in peace!

    Hallo Martin, ich mag die dunkle Atmosphäre zwischen 45:08-48:00min. Danach gibt es den typischen Part der Berliner Schule. Ist das delay mit der Clocksequenz synchronisiert oder nach Gehör eingestellt?

  • @MartinStuertzer

    @MartinStuertzer

    2 жыл бұрын

    Danke! Das habe ich immer per Midi synchronisiert. Da ich die Delays meist aus Ableton benutze ist das recht einfach. Um es etwas interessanter zu gestalten habe ich manchmal kleine Offests oder bewusste Schwankungen in der Geschwindigkeit der Echos, aber grundsätzlich läuft das alles erst mal von alleine im Takt.

    It's like listening to TD in concert. Spooky. There are a few mis-keyed notes, and these could almost be intentional (as I have recordings of TD where there are also mis-keyed notes). No criticism - they make it sound much more authentic.

    Thank you! Given the very spontaneous and sad nature I played a few wrong keys in the last part. Klaus Schule played this in Eb-minor, which is a rather unusual key for me. I usually improvise in d, c or f.
