Thanks for the feedback.
This video goes directly against the recommendations from the developers. Their was a lot of improvement on default database to the point where the speed is equal or better than MariaDB. Also, stabiliteit and integrity is a lot better than a third party database Please have a look at the latest release party where this was mentioned again. Don't migrate! You will regret it later.

Thanks @jaap7374, Thanks for the feedback. I've been running MariaDB with no issues. I didn't go back and have a look at the previous release notes once you pointed this out. Seems that there is some debate about the pros and cons about using a third party database. As with all advice given, caveat emptor, for me this worked well, with the diverse installation base of Home Assistant others mileage might vary, it's not one rules fits all. But again, thank you, and I urge all to do their own due diligence and always backup, JIC.

How can one query the HA DB?

@@timmark4190 If you check the Home Assistant Database page (ref: shorturl.ac/7cwix), it tell you that you can query the HA DB using DB Browser for SQLite (ref: shorturl.ac/7cwiz). Hopefully that answers your question.
I just bought a MiniPC with a 1TB SSD and a fresh install. I wanted to switch to MariaDB because I have a lot of positive experience with this. Your video is exactly what I need. Many thanks for this perfect instruction guide dude.
