در غربت مشغول تحصیل در مقطع دکترا هستم. هر روز صبح با گوش دادن به این آلبوم و کارهای دیگر همایون و پدر بزرگوارشون، روی تزم کار میکنم. من توی پانسیون دانشجویی هستم و جالبه که یکی از همسایه ها که یه دختر اهل چک هست در زد گفت این موسیقی که گوش میدی چیه چقدر قشنگه تو رو خدا بگو اسمش چیه خیلی دوست دارم! نگفتنی ست که چقدر احساس خوبی بهم دست داد. دست مریزاد و خدا قوت میگم به تمامی دست اندرکاران این آلبوم بسیار زیبا. پاینده باشید

Farooq Fazeli, I think those who speak any variety of the Persian Language are privileged for vast poetry there exists. First Poet in Modern Fa'rsi was Rudaki from Ka'bul,1200 years ago. Our modern Farsi was developed in the area of today's Afgha'nesta'n-Ta'jikista'n , during Sa'ma'nia'n. 1200. years ago. Greetings from north California. Sept. 2020.

Beyond spellbound! - Enthralled and transported to some out-of-everyday-reach ethereal planes! For keeping it's spell fresh and potent: I know to only listen as and when the inner cravings swell to an alarmingly hazardous crescendo - an unquenchable ache! In between listening: I succumb to its lingering after-taste, and savour on its other-worldly flavours till the next fix!!!

I see many comments about Humayoun, which is true. This is his best performance I think. However, please don't forget the composer , mainly Sohrab Pour-Nazeri, the wonderful players, the recording team and of course Melodifa for sharing this with us. I hope they have not broken the copyright rule here: these great artists need to support themselves and be able to live and produce more music for us.

I can't select a masterpiece album.. all his albums and every single track is a masterpiece. How on earth could someone be so talented!!!

I've listened to Persian music in the past; but today, I came here by accident; this is amazing music; creating such long masterpieces takes so much effort. As I listen to more of it, I'm lost for words; all I can say is wow!!

What a magnificent album from beginning to the end! I've been listening to this while on the road and literally every single track is a gem! It is amazing how I'm not even related to the culture and Iran-e Man has deeply touched me to the point of tears. My amazement for Persian culture only keeps growing the more I dig deeper into it! And with the first sounds of the traditional instruments, resonant with my heart, it happened. Every fibre of my being naturally began to absorb all the uniqueness of these middle eastern paternal melodies and as the voice of the Maestro began, tears came, tears that could not stop. As his soulful voice continued, his unique gift took me to a time, many hundreds years ago, back to an era of the great Persian poets, Nizami, Ferdowsi. Fizuli and Rumi, to the era of the noble Iranian shahs and their people, their musicians, dervishes and especially to the music in that time. Listening to the Maestro"s musical interpretation of those poems about the eternal love of "Layla and Majnon, Khosrow and Shirin" evoked sadness and pain, pain for their fate, history and the stories of those heroes from those great poems and at the same time brought with it a priceless sense of beauty for their undying love... Love that uplifts and inspires. Love that is cosmic and immeasurable. It is mysterious and mystical and penetrates the soul in such a way that is impossible to comprehend in our earthy sphere... At the end of the concert, during his final song " My Iran' his voice was so solemn and intense, while inspiringly remaining and passing on to everyone all his passionate love for his centuries old homeland. Every person present perceived the love that radiated from him, his pride for their country and at the same time, all felt a sense of longing in the distance from their motherland.. The Master soloist Homayoun Shajarian with his profound performance left an indelible mark in my heart, my soul and my memory, enriching and inspiring me to such an extent that Im unable to describe the level of gratitude in me. Thanks to the whole Universe for this gift that came true in my life! Gratitude for meeting with Siavash who guided me to this music and of course, the Maestro himself for what he is in this world. He is a talented and noble man, a worthy son of his father and his people. This master who, with his devotion and modesty, continues to keep the music of the past connected with the present and future. As they say in the Iranian world, he s a bridge for the new generation, a generation who values their traditions, roots and musical legacy. This is the highest form of music that human can make. Sadly, Persian music is underrated to the International audience. Tar, setar, daff, barbat, tanbour, kamancheh and many of the instruments that I can not identify.

THIS MASTERPIECE LEFT ME SPEECHLESS !!! How can he sing like that? Spectacular low and high notes but surrounded always with heartbreaking sound and soul... a pure miracle What an incredible gem is IRAN.. maybe for that reason all the old powers want to hide it from the rest of the humanity But we can not hide the Sun for ever....

Hey smart ass, the only power who aims to hide the Iranian culture and its glamorous ancient history is in action inside Iran. That female soprano's voice and all other women voices are forbidden in Iran. Showing any musical instrument in Iran's national TV (all the channels ) are forbidden since 1978. Homayoun's father (Maestro Muhammad reza Shajarian ) who was also his mentor is banned to perform any concert just because of a one comment against the rulers. Any concert in any style of music should get approval from several religious and regulatory authorities. So shut your mouth and find another way to pay for your bills rather than false propaganda!

And through out history Governments and People have been and for most parts are two different entities.\ Yes , it is true that Iranians are caught between rock and hard place. @@sanramondublin In your comment I see no trace of respond to what I mentioned about restriction and sanctions against Iranian music imposed by Iran's authorities ( which is relevant to the video and is aligned with the topic ) Homayoun's father and mentor, maestro M.Reza Shajarian (pbuh) passed away last night. Security forces managed and controlled the entire funeral in two cities, banned citizens for attending . Again I see no trace of Americans in this . Considering the fact that many of agents like you in California , Washington , London and .... are enjoying their cyber~salary and offending USA at the same time, I'm not sorry that sanctions narrows that indecent income! BTW Iranians are dealing with lots of you . Starting your comments with praises about Iranian people and culture, even cursing the regime in Iran then at the end blaming US and Israel for fighting against ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT IRAN !!! We are commenting under a fine piece of Iranian music (Topic is not about Lebanese militias funds, or Iranin oil tankers or Atomic bomb seekers or Huthi rebel's drones). Using prominent Iranian music as an irrelevant topic to generate claims for sanctions against ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT IRAN will not work for you . Music in Iran is restricted (if not banned). فارسیان؟از فرهنگ ایرانیان و اون فارسیان هم عربی شده هست و پارسیان درست هست،الان در ایران فارس زبون بگید بهتر هست چونکه پارس های ایران در استان های خوزستان و کهگیلویه و بویراحمد و بوشهر و بخش غربی هرمزگان و استان فارس و چهار محال بختیاری هستن که بیشتر این مناطق الان بهشون لر‌ گفته میشه،سی درصد استان فارس و خوزستان و استان بوشهر هم‌نزدیک به شصت درصد و چهارمحال بختیاری و کیگیلویه و بویر احمد هم بالای نود و پنج درصد لر هستن،این واژه ی فارسیان درست نیست و از ایرانیان استفاده کنید بهتر هست،با سپاس فراوان

Dears from Tunisia and morrco ..it is my pleasure when i see you had really experience in persian music..meny poems of meny century ago without exp date ..i wish the best for you..and your old calture ❤

it takes 7 to 10 years of practicing for someone who has a very good voice and understanding of music to just go from high to low notes and so on in one breathe . still after all that ,not many can do it as perfectly and harmoniously as he does.. he even goes to hill tops and mountain to practice .and he had his father as a teacher who was one of the greatest, who passed away on 8th of October 2020 . i hope that he would carry on doing his great performances ,and as he becomes more and more popular through out the world ,his music will unite people because the lyrics are mostly about love of life , humanity and peace .something that politicians need to understand and embrace?!?!?!

I can say it's just amazing. I'm from Azerbaijan but i listen persian music, especially Homayoun Shajarian. i knew him in 2017 ,unfortunately late. But i've listened since that years. . I hope i will be at his concert and meet him.Thanks for sharing such a phenomenal album 👍🏼
