@@animations8150 Because I knew someone exactly like Lila, but it was kinda different. They were a fake friend and they always made these small white lies to make themselves look cool. I knew they were lies indeed because I asked her mother and she was so confused like “what? We never even had four baby cats and a horse?!” I’d been friends with this person for 8 years so I didn’t think it was a problem and just let her lie. Everything was fine until she used her lying against me to get me in trouble. She blamed something she did onto me. And everyone believed her over me, just for the sole reason that I was panicking and couldn’t think clearly to defend myself. I just got angry and shut down kinda like Marinette. After that, I never spoke to that girl again, never looked at her again, deleted her off my contacts, and basically just ignored her. The most stupid thing was that she got along with everyone even after what she did to me. My other friends were first mad at her but then became friends with her yet again. So yeah, when you’re put in a situation like Marinette, you’d understand. Ik this is extremely biased, but it just doesn’t click for me to support someone who manipulates people. I have nothing against Lila stans, as my best friend loves her, but why love her in expense of protagonists like Marinette and hate on her? I like Lila as a villain so she can move the story along. That’s it. I don’t like her a person, nor do I like her as a character.

Not only does Chloe not get a attention, it seems her own MOTHER doesn’t even care about her. She doesn’t even know her own daughter’s name. Yet, Chloe doesn’t crave attention from others. Even though Chloe teamed up with Hawkmoth at one point, it was because she was weak and broken inside and he manipulated her. Lila WILLINGLY teamed up with Hawkmoth to get what she wanted. So in my opinion, Lila’s actions are inexcusable.

deserved it for something as small as hanging out with Adrian or lying or even just plain having an reaction to Mari harassing her?!?! you dont know her backstory so stfu... also the show made it 97% percent clear that she does it for the attention of others bc shes incecure and doesnt get the attention she needs at home. like for example: her mom is so busy with work she isnt even there for Lila to comfort or help her out when shes sad or insecure abt herself.. which results in her reacting to it in a bad way. Just like Chloe.. Chloe doesnt feel loved like Lila so she reacts to it by bullying people.. Lila reacts to it by lying which actually isnt hurting anyone so i dont understand why yall toxic cringeynette stans are so upset by it- like stop acting as if Mari doesnt lie all of the time for others approval {like Lila} or like you never lied in your life.

She lies to get attention from others. And not just "little white lies", full blown enormous lies. Such as the injured wrist one, the tinnitus one, and many others. She doesn't just "hang out with Adrien".

@@undervoices7127 yeah but thats the whole reaon why Marinette hated her. Also the Lila framing Mari thing was only an reaction to Cringeynette bullying and harasssing her. She was constantly trying to expose her so she tried to get on her good side by talking it out with her in the restroom, but Cringeynette kept pressuring her. So, Lila felt like the only way to protect her rep was to threaten Mari back and that way she would leave her alone. So that was only an reaction to Mari and Marinette deserved it anyways. She cant just go stalking and harassing girls over a boy. The world doesnt revolve around her and other girls cn try to have a chance with Adrian too. Also, we dont know Lila's backstory or why she lies, but we do know that the show made it very clear she does and 97% clear that she lies for the validation or acceptance of others; which is a form of insecurity.. its kinda like makeup.. if someone were to wear too much makeup all of the time.. it would cause some illusion that theyre ugly without without it.. Thats how Lila feels! she feels ghat shes nothing without her lies and that she has no chance with anyone without them. that could be really painful epecially bc it seems as if her mom isnt with her at home to comfort or talk to her when she's upset. The way Cringeybug humilated her infront of Adrian just for her own selfish reasons only made things worse. thats the whole reason she really turned into a supervillian. its because she lost her chances with Adrian to this superhero she looked up to and had no one there to comfort her (Most of her friends dont seem to be completley there for her.. and her mom cant be there for her). You would be mad and want to get revenge if someone did that to you so dont complain. Finally, Lila isnt a terrible person. she just insecure and wants attention and Cringeynette only makes things worse for her.

And Mari doesn't just go around stalking and harassing girls over Adrien. Does she have her moments where she gets upset and does some things she shouldn't? Yes. She's a *_young , teenage, girl._* It's pretty much normal behavior. And of course she would try to expose Lila, because of what she's doing. Anyone who's a good person would try to expose someone who's like her. Could things have been handled better? Sure. Once again, people *make mistakes . Marinette is a human being.* And I doubt that Lila truly ever looked up to Ladybug. I haven't seen anything that points to Lila being "insecure". And Mari has let someone else have a chance with Adrien. Kagami. Alright, here me out. Yes, in one episode she did go behind Kagami's back and look through her phone, because she felt like Kagami might be trying to get close to Adrien. After all, Mari, herself, was doing the challenge to get to be close to him. She saw that Kagami was, in fact, just trying to make a friend, and felt bad about what she did. (I'm sorry, but I've never seen Lila show any feelings of remorse. Never.) Later on in the series, she doesn't get in the way of the relationship of Kagami and Adrien, and tries to move on with Luka. (Of course, that's after she sees that those two are together, at the end of "Love Eater".) Please know that I am not saying that I hate Lila. I don't. I actually like her. She makes a great antagonist in the series. (I just hate Chloe. I want to slap some sense into that girl, and help her change her ways. Although, I have sort of lost faith in that happening. There's still a chance, though. A slim one, but it's there. She's not completely evil, she's just a bit of a brat because of how her mom is. And poor Sabrina has to put up with that, because she's too loyal to ditch her. Such a great friend/servant, she truly deserves better.) But, despite liking her, I can't really agree with the "insecure" thing. I don't think the writers have been trying to hint at her being insecure. I think she's just an attention seeker, who lies to get her way. There are people who are just like that. They don't have a good reason to, they aren't insecure. They just do it. That's it. Lila wants attention, she wants the spotlight on herself, and she's going to get it through her lies.
