Holy Wars w/SFSGSW Tone

Ойындар

Thought I’d redo this one a year later, now with a different tone and improved production. This time I scooped the mids on the drums and added more low end on the bass track.
I think I got pretty close to the actual sound of the respective album.

SFSGSW is so underrated. That album really showed the punk DNA of thrash, and by extendition, Megadeth. Keep is up Ali you're a fuckin killer sitting next to StateofMercury, Bryce Barilla, Warhedd, and the other greats of the "What If Tone Movement"

and to add to this, Jeff Young is an underrated guitarist, let alone an underrated Megadeth guitarist. He didn't get the opportunity to work on a 2nd album, but I know he would've killed it. It's a shame to be stuck between Chris Poland and Marty Friedman.

@@panamajack5972yes he is a monster. Super underrated. He came in and nailed his solos. He also played Poland's solos better than anyone live.

I like this. It also reminds me of Metallica's ride the lightning as it sound like it's standard tuning but a bit sharper than 440hz.

Very cool version of the clean solo. The rest of the song sounds like it's coming to kick your ass, the SFSGSW guitar tone is so aggressive it makes you feel like you should watch your back lol. Great work as usual.

As usual great work, I think those solos were an inspiration of the RIP Poland Demos but I am not sure. No matter the tone or the tuning, Holy Wars will always sound great. I really wonder what went through Mustaine’s mind when he was making RIP.
