Curious if you prefer the HS600 over the HS 720R? I am looking for the best, reasonably priced drone for Real Estate photography. $399 is the cheapest HS600 that I see on Amazon today and it doesn’t appear that I can use the AD code either. Has it expired? Watched a bunch of these AD videos yesterday. Great stuff!!

@@robertoneil3966 hs600 comes with 2 batteries the HolyStone 720 comes with one so I think hs 600 great deal and remote I’d built in goin need that to fly for this year

Couldn't get the code to work went to pull the trigger but the total was 319 so I geuss I'll wait.

Hi, can these batteries be fast charged? Meaning a 5w charger vs a 30w charger to cut down charging time or must they be slow charged at 2w? You did a review of the Atom and iirc their more fly included a fast charger for 2-3hr charging of all batteries simultaneously, please advise! I can’t decide between this and the new Atom. Its breezy where I live and the folding blade drones seem less wind capable than this HS600, or I would choose the Atom for the quick charging and better video, your reviews indicate the picture is very good on the Atom and decent on the 600, yes?

Thanks! These batteries are slow to charge, about 5 hours in my tests, and cannot really be made faster. The video is not bad but the lag made it uncomfortable for me, but depending on how you fly may not be an issue. Hope that helps!

Thank you! That’s too bad about the HS batteries slow charge. Would you agree the HS600 was more able to navigate in higher wind, it has a higher wind rating which means bigger motors? I live in coastal hills with daily 5-10mph wind and gusts, any differences in that regard to the new Atom?

@@emfarfan No doubt that the HS600 is a beefier drone and will do much better in higher winds compared to the ATOM... 🤙

You should review the vivitar phoenix drone.. I got stuck with one and I can’t wait to put it on a shelf for the rest of its life.

@@AlienDrones 🤣🤣 that’s the thing, at first I was impressed, it flew great. It wasn’t until I had it for a while that I realized how bad it actually was. Like a 300’ range if you’re lucky haha

To me, it looks decent. However, with the lag, that would be annoying. I think the lag should be eliminated like you said. With the video shakiness, do you think this could be eliminated in post or would you just avoid the smart functions?

It could be cleaned up some in post, but the manual orbit I did actually looked pretty decent. I normally do everything manually anyway so I'd recommend that, it's an easy fix to end up with fairly decent footage on the cheap and you have better control as well. That's the right description for the lag, it's not impossible but it is a bit annoying.

I'm not so sure "RID ready" is a good selling point lol

Well I was going to get one for the price you showed in the video but with the video only being up for 7 hours, Amazon has already raised the prices. For the price it is now, you would be better off getting a DJI.

I just looked at it on Honey and the price was lower. Also feel the same about spending a little more and getting a lower end DJI. However, if that's your budget. It's not a bad drone at all. Had a HS many years ago and was good for it's time.

Keep an eye on the pricing, I would think with Black Friday stuff going on if you add the AD discount there might even be a better deal in the next few days but you'll have to act quick when it pops up.

How far away can you fly it and still see the video of what it sees?

Not sure, I flew it out the distance shown in the video and still had FPV video, beyond that isn't legal to do in the US

To have the best signal the flat areas need to point perpendicular to the drone if possible. Because the device is right above the antennae there will be better signal if they are oriented as shown in the video.

To have the best signal the flat areas need to point perpendicular to the drone if possible. Because the device is right above the antennae it is not possible to get the antennae in this position by tipping them "up". If they are oriented as shown in the video they will face the drone properly and give the strongest signal.

I just watched your video today (11-21-23) and I found only two listings on the azon site at $429. It appeared that they were the exact ad just duplicated.There was not a place to add to cart and buy UNLESS we were forced to sign up for prime. (Don't you think that shoots the great deal in the foot from the git go? I don't want to buy extra to get a deal because it is no longer a deal.) Tell us who sells it for the wonderful deal that your video shows? Please post a link where we can go straight to it and buy one.

The screenshot is of my Amazon page, one discount is automatically applied and the other discount code is in the description. I just looked and the 2 battery pkg is still $233 after discounts. Maybe do a free trial of prime, you can cancel within 30 days for free. Sorry, can only show what I see and can't help more than that.
