Pretty Cool Little Drone

Yep! I have this one and it's perfect for zipping around. So easy to fly. Good starter drone.

Even when I'm not flying it I can't put it down I just love it 😅

I'm right there with you on the HS340 mini (the one at the end you displayed). It's so nimble! I could just practice drills doing hard U-Turns indoors back and forth... it's mesmerizing! It's so darn satisfying doing Speed-3 hard stop turns right before a near miss! And the battery is a decent 10-12 minutes, I can barely wait for the second battery to finish charging and fly around again. It really is one of the funnest Drones to fly especially indoors. Speed 3 is extremely fast, but also so responsive you can avoid any crash as quickly as your reflexes can react. It's cool that you rate it well. Most other reviews I've seen dont seem to give it the respect it deserves lol :) Cheers on your channel and review, Thanks!

i just love it its teaching me the axis and control and also if you switch on the avoidance in a small room it just flies around on its own lol like a little hummingbird

Awesome video. I love the battery port thing. Most mini drones have the wires that attach but this one doesn't!!

I bought one of these after looking at your Chanel. Mainly because Though I have been flying drones for years, of all sorts, I was concerned that I wasn’t comfortable in doing turns, or flying in reverse orientation. Since practice with this drone, my confidence has increased bu about 75%. I used to just fly to get video shots, but beginning to really enjoying just flying. So would recommend this method of improving your flying. Much better than crashing my DJI or other expensive drones.

I just received the HS 340 but just haven’t had much of a chance to fly it yet, too many honey do’s. Lol. I also recently purchased the HS510, but plan to learn on the 340 first, as I’m still a beginner. Love watching your videos! Very informative.

Thank you very much for your videos, I bought the 4DRC V20 and I am having a lot of fun as you told me, I would like you to advise me on another drone of this type, I was thinking between HS210, HS420 or HS450, or another that you would advise me at this price, I would like to buy another one before I start piloting my JJRC X17, the camera would not be important, thank you very much.

It's marvelous I'm sitting here flying it and waiting for my next mini to be delivered lol got a Vinci V8 coming I can't wait to rock that one lol I've given up the tobacco so my cigarette money gonna go weekly on a new mini drone lol twenty to thirty dollars that's like about twenty GBP I just can't believe the tech involved in these little flyers it's just overwhelming and I suppose it's exactly the same chips in the bigger ones if truth be known lol

Ok, firstly it arrived early. Testing for the first 30 minutes. It's brilliant, the control is so much better than the fizz. I can control it with ease. 9/10 only because I can't find spare batteries.

I just finished watching your review of the DEERC 50. Since you've invited folks to comment on drones that they have bought, I'll comment here as I did buy this drone about a week ago or so. Sadly, I didn't have a good experience with this. I don't mean to knock on this drone or Holy Stone as a company I'm just relating my experience. I chose the HS450 because I loved the color and unusual design. I watched a bunch of video reviews on this drone too, and no one had anything bad to say about it. My first flight was great and I really loved it. I even liked the whine of the little motors. However, after my first flight, it started to become unstable. It would take off and immediately move toward me. Not just a little bit of drift, it was actively moving back toward me and to the left no matter where I launched it, even after syncing the gyro. I used Trim Mode many times to correct for this, but it never worked for more than a couple seconds. I was constantly having to fight against it to just get it to hover for a bit, never mind being able to fly it around a small room. I was suddenly really struggling with it. I had a lot of other problems with it that I won't get into here unless you ask me, but I had gotten to the point where I really felt like this wasn't just newbie pilot error, but it was defective. I got online with Amazon and they allowed me to return it. I contacted the folks at Holy Stone and they were great about it. They were willing to send me a new HS450 for free, but Amazon was expecting it back. Now, I am not sure what to do. I have considered another small beginner drone from Holy Stone, but it seems like all their small drones are primarily for inside, even the HS340 that you reviewed. Got any advice on a more robust drone that I can use as a trainer, but not be so small that it will get blown away in a breeze, regardless of brand?

Charles, I had no troubles with the 450 but nothing flies better than the HS210, I talk about It in almost every video, I have crashed mine 1,000 time (literally) and I have never met any one that doesn’t live it. Fortunately you didn’t have a large financial commitment

Michael Pemantel I say HolyStone makes great drones,& that I would gladly review drones for them.My name is Michael Pemantel & I live in Knox,NY.Hope I win because the drone that I have now isn't that good,already had a gear break after only 5 flights.It's a ZLL SG907 Pro,that I was gifted for Christmas.It flies well,takes good photos,but with the video is shaky.I'm looking to upgrade,but being disabled limits my funds to very little.I love photography,& have a good Canon digital camera,but I'm always looking to try something different,like "light painting",& motion blur.I like to think outside of the box,& I think that's why I received the drone.It also helps(for me)to relieve stress,& my grandson loves grandpa's "helicopter"😁Tried to tell him it's a drone,but 3yo boys know more than a 51yo man😂😂😂😂You & your wife have a great day,happy flying,& fly safe🚁PS.they really need a drone emoji😁 #wheresthedroneemoji Oh...I say HolyStone!

I dont think you will have a problem with either, I like the way the 210 flies but the modular batteries on the 450 are nice, The 4DRC’ V8 is a little bigger and really loud, also the HS210 is only $20 on EBay right now, I just bought 4 more

I am impressed with the review James made of the DEERC D50 drone and have purchased one. However he made no comment on the very short transmission distance of 50 metres. By this comment I wish to know how far this drone can be flown without loss of safe contact. Thanks James

Actually the distance is 100 meters which is almost a football field, that’s about at the limit of “line is sight” anyway. Wi-Fi drones don’t have the range of GPS drones. That’s kinda why DJI got ride of the Spark which is still one of my favorite drones to fly! Thanks for watching! I don’t remember ever losing contact with the drone because I stayed in line of sight

I really enjoy your videos, they are made in a very concise and professional way I want to ask you a question, what is the safest and most fun to fly for a child at the age of 8, a beginner Is the HS450 currently better than the S210? Or 4DRC V16 and SANROCK U61?

The 210 flies the best but the modular batteries are so much easier on the 450, that makes it a better drone. The Holytone 330 (same company) is on sale now, might be the best. I like the Sanrock over the 4DRC

100% True this is a fantastic learning drone, I have bashed this into walls furniture, and many other objects, just pick it up and fly again no damage, this is my first drone and truly a great learning experience. I am looking at progressing to better drone carry out surveys, is there a drone that you would recommend, that does not break the bank But can get me moving forward towards a career in drone surveying ??

Look at getting a used DJI Phantom4, I use bought a P4 Pro (1 inch sensor) for $400, just make sure it flies, buy in person, not eBay or mail. I just got a Zenmuse X4 camera and a secound Inspire2 for $2,500. That’s a steal, would be 6-7 new. This is great for mapping.

Good review. Drone is fun, but it won't maintain altitude.

james i almost bought the hs450 but u said nothing in the reveiw about a camera and i need a realy good one plus obsticle avoidence n so much more.

It does not have a camera, and the obstacle avoidance kinda works sometimes, this is just a fun mini-drone to learn to fly, it flies great

If I was only going to get one to practice inside a house, overall would you recommend the hs-210 or hs-450?

I have this hs450, and you mentioned hs340 at the end too, but I have also hs430, do 340 is better then 430 and what's better? I can't decide is worth to buy extra 340 or not. Thank you. I love your videos

I am having a really tough time trimming the drone. Do I have to press the land/take-off button for each trim direction or can I do all the directions once in trimming mode? Thank you for the informative video.

for the 210 - might be different for 450 - hold down the left mushroom, it will beep or make a noise, now tap the right stick in the opposite direction of drift to add units of correction. So for each unit of correction tap pad in direction, then let it return to centre

whats the max range and height for the drone

Question for you...when you say the HS210 flies better than the HS450...in what way are they different? Am thinking about getting a mini drone for someone who is on oxygen and has balance problems from a stroke, so this would be strictly in house use for awhile. From what you say, volume is about the same, weight/size not markedly different...but ease of changing the battery favors the 450, unless handling is significantly different between it and the 210. Also, any thoughts about the Snaptain SP350 or H823H models? Would welcome your opinion.

It’s been a year but the 210 was just a bit more nimble, but the 450 flew great and the Modular batteries are a big plus! I only had the 350 and it was ok to, but not as easy to fly

@@b4ugo Thanks...think the HS450 is the best model...of course at their price points, could give the 450 now and the 210 as a BD gift in a few months...grin. Then he could fly alone or with another (after covid...he's high risk so still isolating). Watched some other of your videos...nice work...am now subscribed.

You provided no link to the HS-450, Amazon doesn't list it, not sure where to get it from. How long does each battery last do you know? I got a little red one from Holy Stone and batteries last 5 min each, not enough, when you are having the most fun the battery dies and ground the drone automatically. I would like to find one that has the blades protection bumper but also comes with batteries that can last at least 10min each.

The HS340 batteries last 12 minutes, sorry so late was on vacation, but most micro mini drones only fly for 5 minutes

One question. Actually two. So could you use one of the Holy Stone mini drone with a pair of goggles? And what would be the best beginner set up with goggles and a good remote. That is with a mini drone or border line racing drone?

Couldn’t really use these drones. There are really inexpensive FPV drones that start about $100 that come with the drone, goggles and remote

Just got ours today...how do you get it to hover and stop constantly drifting toward the ground? Calibrating doesn't fix it and there is no up/down trim.

Make sure its on a flat surface when you set the gyro’s. If its tilted it will fly awkward, let me know if that helps. Try setting the gyro’s several times

@@b4ugo Yeah, we were setting it on the floor...your suggestion of setting the gyros several times does help. It't as though doing it several times in a row before taking off gets it a little closer each time. Trimming is clearly a learned skill...grin. It is fun, though 5 minutes or so per battery goes by very fast so good thing there are 3 batteries. Thanks for the help.

any way i loves it costs less than a meal at a mcdonalds drive through and an excellent little trainer you can crash it but you wont trash it i,m gonna buy another one for the three extra batteries lol

dont want to appear a nuisance but i was distraught i just couldnt get my head around the flying but this little thing has made me realise the way they fly and so controllable im not using avoidance or headless its the only way to learn brilliant lol i been getting it to virtually sit on my nose its like a pet i loves it ill try and get a video done and send you lol

I wish they didn’t even put headless mode on there, I say never use it, it will not be long and you will be flying it with out thinking about it. I take the remote and turn it on under the covers and my dogs go nuts running around trying to find the drone, its their fav thing today and is helpful on rainy or hot days.

I was going to jump on Amazon and buy one of these......until I saw how much replacement batteries cost. I don't think I want to buy a battery that costs more than half the price of the drone itself.

I just got one, haven’t flown it yet, the 450 is good but nothing flies as good as the 210 for mini drones

All my drones are small

The modular battery is cool, but I find the design quite ugly. Might be safer to fly this with cats rather than the HS210 though. My HS210 are still chaotic and the HS220's I had gotten were a complete bust (so upset about it). I've kinda lost faith with Holy Stone, so I'm hesitant to try any other drones from them.

Wow, I love my 210’s, gave 5 of them away at Christmas and everyone liked them, reviewing the new HS340 right now and for $55 this things flies amazing and the camera is pretty good

@@b4ugo I really like them too, when they're not going bonkers on me. The HS220's were really upsetting because I fell in love with the aesthetics of that drone... but mine drift very badly, shudder, throw propellers and just drop from the sky without reason - and one was supposed to be a replacement for the other when I contacted Holy Stone about the issues. I'm so afraid to fly them so they've been collecting dust for the past two years now. The HS210's are thankfully not as dangerous when they go crazy, so I continue flying them.

@@AkiraHDR50 Yeah, precisely why I don't like it, lol! Meh, I'm just a girly-girl so it'd be nice if some drones came in purple or something instead of always red, black or orange and racing decals. As a Canadian, I'm not even able to purchase the HS210's in any other colour except red (my least favourite colour). My HS210 is currently stripped of colour and waiting a new paint job. I like flying, so give me something pretty to fly, lol! Oh well...

its not as loud in real life

My experience with this drone was very different. This drone is unresponsive and unstable. It responds to the buttons I press maybe 1 out of 3 times. It hardly moves in some directions while going really fast in other directions. I definitely don't recommend this piece of garbage.

I have had several and never had a problem, did you get it on Amazon? You may have gotten a bad one. Are You setting the Gyro’s before take off?
