I’m the biggest fan of Oleg cherkasov,he is my idol🏆. He bought me to this sport,and I’m amazed what kind of endurance Oleg uses. Everytime I fight,I fight like Oleg,for respect to him🥇. He definetly merits more then this,but to me he won,I mean that match lasted almost 5 min. My congrats to both Athletes🇷🇺🤝🇲🇩

This is why tournaments are crap in determining who is strongest. Imagine if those guys were top at class and had such match in the beginning.. they would all lose next rounds to much weaker guys.

When it happens one of the two lose on purpose, then proceed to win the losing brackets and they always end up in the final. Happened in 2017,2018, 2019, 2020....

damn being a HUGE cherkasov fan, this was tough to watch. i think maybe he should learn how to transition to press? Emil Amirshadyan has shown on multiple occasions how to beat procopciuc by transitioning to the press after winning the hand (quite cleanly if i might add). though emil is a much stronger top roller than oleg. wonder why he wasn't at this year's euroarm and worlds. he is actually the only one at 70kg i've seen able to beat daniel on more than one occasion LH.

If you've been pulling, you will know that Daniel's position is just waiting for an opening to do a press. The moment Oleg goes to a press, the pressure on Daniel's arm will be momentarily released during the transition(the opening). This is why Oleg did not attempt this and just kept the down pressure all the time. And probably also because that he didn't train really well for such a transition. Just my opinion.

Should've been climbing Daniels hand instead of trying to finish him. Makes the pin much easier and puts more pressure on your opponent. Transitioning to a press when someone is already in a press is dangerous if you're not strong enough to press through.

Seems like the final start Daniel had his shoulder too far center.

Endurance masters....more than a little impressive. Both are warriors.

Always curious to know what Oleg’s arm workout’s are. His biceps are looking awesome 💪🏻

I like Daniels pulling style, but I dont like how he always yells "foul" when he is in a losing position.

I feel for Oleg. He’s so good but always comes second. Incredible armwrestler being able to toproll Daniel even though the leverage is working against him. Dan playing it smart basically playing the push the elbow of the pad game.

It should be the opposite, it is incredible hard to win from that Daniels position when wrist is getting compromised and Oleg has his hand almost fully pronated, basically directly off the go. And Daniel didn't try to push Oleg of the pad, then it wouldn't have been multiple minutes long matches. Yeah he tried once and got a foul. So 🤷‍♂️

@@R.J22 why do you think this match is so long? Oleg is trying to finish but is running out of elbow space because daniel is all the way forward/pushing oleg off/making pinroute basically impossoble. Also leverage IS against him, having the longer arm while daniel is yanking on it makes it harder on him

@@Daantjer but it looks like Oleg did that by himself, I mean he pronated Daniel and dragged him with backpressure to the back of the pad. Also Daniel has his elbow on the front of the pad, I don't think he wants to be there, bc he would have more power and opportunity to finish Oleg with his elbow closer to his body.

There are a few with 12+ minutes in the last 15 years. If you go back to the 80s there were several that have 17, 22, and 27 minute claims. I'd have to dig hard to get the names though.

Crazy George and Anthony dal Antonio had a 30 minute match once. Longest in history. But without kingsmove I think laletins left hand match would be up there.
