Holt Nurseries Tour

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Kagan and I took a trip out to Holt Nurseries and toured Tom Holt’s vast greenhouses and lush gardens. We were absolutely floored with the expanse of what Tom has already created, and we discuss with him his plans to add animals into some of his exhibits.

I think Holt should have private tours and photo shoots. So beautiful! I’m imagining people getting their engagement photos there. Maybe make a partnership with a local professional photographer to take pictures of everyone who comes on a tour in the best photographic areas.

It is great to see the success of such a nice bloke (Aussie speak for regular guy) achieving his passions in life, well done Tom and love your videos. Jerry I would love to see you develop a tropical corner on your property. Perhaps start from the back corner where the large palm is that you mentioned. Just add it to your things to do list ;) Oh and call it Kagan's Korner'... yes I do know how to spell corner :)

Passionfruit varietals are one of my favorite fruits, Flavor and texture! There are a variety of flavors. All tart like that but one tasted like grapefruit. Others taste sweeter, etc . Dragonfruit however are so boring to eat. 😂 Ahhhmazing to Look at. But just? Nothing to taste🤷

Jerry I think you caught Tom off guard I've never seen Tom Tong tied before lol. but yeah I agree he he really needs to show off his his masterpiece he's got a botanical opus going on and he wants to add the Fish and the birds and the blizzards and he just created a beautiful setting for all of that one of things I'd love to see him do is put in a waterfall and at the base of the waterfall put in a piece of plexiglass that has Glass glass to see the fish inside of the pool where the waterfall is dumping into so you can have fish down below fish behind the plexiglass under the waterfall he really needs to meet up with the Tanner Serpa Fury of cannonosum in Canon has worked with him before he created one of the custom made enclosures for Kenan's second black throw or black dragon I forget black throw but one that passed away I forgot what he called him now but he did an amazing job on that enclosure it's just fantastic so talk to Jerry see if you can get Tanner to come down and meet up with Tom one he'd love to see what Tom's done because he special is making terrarian paladarians aquariums that are all scaped for the animal Well it's a frog it's a lizard it's a fish it's tarantula he has it all he's getting an entire room dedicated for his animals and it's huge rum. but you should also be 10 or 2 cause I think Tanner would love to see your lizards your monitors I don't think he has one of his own yet so maybe you can convince him to get one I know you've had snakes when he's not adverse to feeding frozen fog animals heck you feed your pet his pac man told small mice so there's an adverse to feeding them frozen thawed and he would definitely love to meet Tom 'cause he works with plants a lot he actually collects his own plants mosses and such and he grows his own plants sometimes he gets you know the originals and then he makes cuttings of what he can and he works with air plants and he works with talangelas and all sorts of mosses and he even uses isopause and springtails for cleanup crews you don't have to worry about that because all your enclosures are outside but they're bio active enclosures that he makes Serpa design SERPE design And you will be amazed at what he does And if you go ahead and get him to design one closure for you for your most special favorite animal you'll have an amazing enclosure he uses this interesting plant and I think it's called Oak Leave oakleaf Ficus and so climbing plant and it will take over believe me the stuff is amazing it does take much to root either it's just you stick the little rootlets towards the soil keep a noise and they will root themselves I know I've used some of this stuff myself it actually took over my terrarium and cut up most of the literally took over the terrarium this is that good food and it had good water supply and lots and lots of artificial light

he so needs help with the animals... his knowledge in plants is amazing, but in fawna...it needs some work /assistance. Plus he' so buy with the plants I think an animal manager would be best for all! It was a great look at his property there really is just SO MUCH to see, I'm sure it;s overwhelming in the best way!

Awesome place Tom has. It’s amazing and it’s crazy how many plants he has bought n planted on the property. Pretty cool. Does he sell all the baby plants to stores or what’s he do with the acres of baby plants?

Tom should add some kind of doris to that pond the natural spring pond along with the Sagittarius it will grow good and it tends to grow out of the water which is beautiful and it has little tiny flowers that girl also out of the water and they will create baby plants off those shoots and once you have duckweed it's almost almost impossible to get rid of I mean he'd have to go in with the same knit and literally go from every edge inward and pull stuff out and as soon as the duck flies back in with any duckweed on its feet he comes back so it's like almost impossible to get rid of especially in an outdoor pond indoors yeah you can eradicate it by scooping it out and scooping it out and scooping up but if you had a couple of goldfish goldfish love eating duckweed so that's one way of getting it rid of it out of your ponds add a couple of gold vision but once you add a pair if they're both male and female you're gonna get babies and you can get a lot of them

Jerry if you like cactus blooms you need to get a couple of the cactus pads brickley pairs from Kennon they're spineless they do have hairs but they're spineless and your mother's alderas can eat them Once they get established she can pull some pads off now and then and feed them to the tortoises. just as a cannon for like 5 or 6 pads as you can place around the property and plant for Kenneth's they have to do is lay them down on the ground and they will root go figure I've always seen them done in damp sand and just plant them about half an inch deep in the sand from the cut end and keep it moist but not too too moist like let it dry out between waterings and it should start to to sprout once it's sprouted and you see it like growing little buds new buds new pads coming up that's when you can plant it into the ground
