    Another great video Lenny! My brother and I were in Nashville in August and we stopped by to have our slides cut. A very nice gentleman gave us a tour of the facilities and we were extremely impressed especially, of your CNC machine shop. We both received our slides in less than 10 days and we both are very happy on how they turned out. You have a great store and a very helpful staff. I’ll be down again because, I have another slide I need cut! 🤣🤣 Thanks again!

    Hello Lenny, Great video. I have a question ? I have a Glock 20 and the PID Plus, there are two adapter plates supplied numbered 1 and 2, which do you use? The provided instructions aren't very helpful. I think the #1 adapter "pushes ' the laser spot lower. This seems to be good as it appears that using the #2 adapter has the spot higher then it should be on target. I haven't tried it in actual shooting yet just pointing it at a target in the house. Any thought from you or anyone else would be appreciated. Thanks and keep up the great videos.

    I love Holosun products and own 9 of them. They are amazing and easily rival products double the price but I’ll never run a pistol light that protrudes past the end of my barrel. That’s why I run an Olight Baldr Mini 600 on all of my Glock 19s as the lights sits perfectly parallel with the end of the barrel and fits beautifully in an Orpaz T40 holster.

    @@BrockNessMonster1991 Hi Brock. It is primarily just my personal preference regarding form factor and ergonomics when it comes to weight, drawing/holstering and transporting/storing my firearms. I also treat any light on my firearm as a weapon light and not a flashlight. On a pistol most of those large lights are overkill in relation to the effective range of the firearm. There are so many high quality dependable choices for a pistol light in smaller form factors that I see no reason to add unnecessary bulk. If I’m in a fire fight with my Glock 19 and being hindered by the illumination reach of my weapon light then I’m already holding the wrong firearm. I do however run larger weapon lights on my rifles and shotguns. I’m not knocking anyone who wants to run a weapons light that protrudes past the end of the barrel, it’s just not for me.

  • @stereothrilla8374

    @@BrockNessMonster1991 I’m hoping Holosun will design a weapon light for the Glock 19 that has the form factor like it is part of the firearm. Something with seamless design like their SCS red dot. They really knocked it out of the park with that thing. Granted I know it isn’t really a cost effective strategy for these manufacturers to make items specific to a single firearm but it sure is nice if you’re the person who owns that specific firearm.

    Great presentation as always Lenny. I only wish you would have demonstrated the spot and flood of the light. My go to light has a tight spot that is aligned with where the bullet goes and a decent flood so I can see my environment in the low ready position. That way I am in no way assaulting anyone by pointing my gun at them. BTW, folks need to know that when using a weapons light.

    @@mrroboto1660 The one I am referring to is the Olight PL Turbo. 66,300 candela. Tight spot and excellent flood at the same time. I also have a PL-3R. The spot on it is not quite as focused and about the same flood. It is higher lumens but has less throw and it rechargeable. You can also use a remote switch with the PL-3R. You cannot with the PL Turbo. I like them both. The 3R is on an AR and the PL Turbo is on a handgun. If you wait for a sale you can grab them at really great prices. They also come with a lifetime warranty.

  • @user-mj1vb8jr6j
    @user-mj1vb8jr6j8 ай бұрын

    Is the candela more on the lower lumen output light? If it’s more candela that is a massive selling point for folks as people are finally understanding how illumination and throw equate to what you can do with a light as opposed to “how bright” a spot on the flood is 5 meters away

    Not sure if its because its the non laser version but I am not the biggest fan of the buttons. Kinda hard to press and my fingers arent that long. Lots of duty full size/compact handguns have a long trigger guard. I wish they did the TLR1 HL or even TLR7A buttons. Pushing down or forward is easier than in IMO. Great light tho performance wise. Also it works with safariland OWB light holsters.

    The biggest issue is unless it has some outstanding feature that other lights dont have it wont get enough traction for holster makers and stuff to bother adding options to their lineups. Streamlight and Surefire are high quality with great features so they are always an option. On the opposite side of the spectrum olights are cheap so tons of people buy them. Love your content, but please lets not say, you need a light for a self defense shooing defense in court.

    A gun light could help you identify good guys, but it also could help the bad guy with a gun shoot at you first.

    On police house search videos I've seen where they clear a room they do that pie slice method and from cover unless the person they are looking for is armed as well and shoots through the wall at their position

    More lumens on a weapon light is not necessarily better.

    I'm going to recommend that you become familiar with your local, state, and federal laws on using a weapon mounted light for identifying a threat. I am very positive that it is illegal to do that in most states in the USA, but probably not everywhere. I'm sure that there are some circumstances that will allow you to use a weapon-mounted light, but you should really be familiar with your local laws because you can very easily break the law if you are not careful.

    It's cheaper to purchase Streamlight and similar lights which are in the same class. Holster availability is another consideration. Holosun light will not be on my list for a while.
