As a child my school bus went by the Holman Moody shops in Charlotte NC out near the airport, every evening and they would have engines on test stands running them out in the open shop door what a sound!

Born in 1945, I lived through all this racing on the West Coast of America because my uncle, Dick Anderson, always was working on someone's race car.

we are trying to carry on the tradition…. 🥲 its not cheap but we are trying….. Im 22. and LOVE the FE motor. all my buddies say should put this or that such as a coyote in my 64’ Galaxie 4 door and im stuck and true with a FE. Would love to get a Holman Moody 427 and drop it in. but Im a college student so it has to wait.

Hey kids. Set focus to manual. Zoom in on your subject. Focus. Back out and set you frame. Audio was great which is not a given on Utube. Peace out.

Back when zi was working for Guldstrsbd I owned and still do a 1964 Ford Fairlane. I had the privilege of talking with zmr Holman re the Northside car and how to get my car to handle like that one. He was very kind sent ne a bunch if pictures and explained that the car chassis and body was q25 000 without drive line. Laughter. After examination of the pictures it was apparent that nothing on the chassis or suspension remained stock. FL cage tube frame all pickup points different extremely rigid etc. Come that with a r27 Nascar prepped engine and light weight and you begin to understand why these cars are worth qi0 p00 and why they run around or over everything else at Nurture a d Nordschiefe. The people driving them mostly Germans I think know what they re about too. Watch the u tube clips of the cars at these venues. I know they've set up a 19y8 notchback Mustang that is amazing also a gd car that is running a bit north if 5p0 hp and handles amazingly well. I'd guess its the same basic setup just a different body. This car cleans up on Corvettes with equal or greater hp. Mr Holman learned a LOT from the HM days and kept right on going. If I had the money I'd be racing a car built by him. And he s a nice person as well.
