There was one more note about why I started making these videos that I forgot to mention here, and that is I wanted to give people who may never make it out to Hollywood a chance to visit their favorite stars virtually.

Hollywood Graveyard speaking about themed specials, I wouldn't complain about watching one with old movie serial actors from serials like Captain Marvel/Shazam, Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, the Green Hornet, Batman, and old radio and tv like the Lone Ranger, Adv. of Superman (radio and tv) I believe you've already seen a few of these, but with Avengers Infinity War coming soon, you could do retro heroes!

The notion of death and graveyards was never on my agenda. March 12 2019 I lost my mother and didn't handle it well. I never went to her grave as I always wanted to remember her alive. A couple of weeks later I braved a You Tube on Hollywood Graveyard and I kid you not... I watch Hollywood Graveyard as therapy. Therapy to get my head around that graves are not about doom and gloom or suffering... graves are about celebrating life and appreciating the lives of people. Thankyou - Hollywood Graveyard.

Unbeknownst to many, the pinnacle of achievement is attained when a "behind-the-scenes" or documentary show is made. Such is the case with this video about Arthur Dark and Hollywood Graveyard. Arthur Dark has captured our hearts with his smooth and debonair style. His geniality and self-effacing attitude is always refreshing. And anyone who desires a peanut butter cup the size of a car tire is my kind of person! Thank you, Arthur, for your dedication to producing such excellent documentaries that we all love to watch and love to watch again, for the first time.

First, the videos are terrific. They are fascinating and very well made. You are a great narrator - great enunciation. Second, I had to chuckle when you'd never seen anything ghostly yourself, a subtle, faint ghostly hand emerged from a nearby crypt. Nice touch. Third, my question to you would have been: How welcoming are the cemeteries to your taping and to visiting celebrity graves in general? When I hired a car and driver to take me to Westwood Memorial Park several years ago groundskeepers told the driver he had to leave. I could walk around and visit, but the car couldn't stay because it was a "tour" vehicle (it wasn't; it was a car and driver). So he parked outside the grounds. Also, Forest Lawn Glendale will reportedly not identify celebrity graves if people ask, and they discourage "fans" from visiting. I can only imagine what they thought about videotaping.

Love your channel. Taseful, respectful and informative. My mother took us to cemeteries when we were small (I am 50), as her mother took her to their family cemetery in Germany. We had no family here, so those lying at rest became a sort of family to us. Many graves here in S.C. date to the Revolutionary War era. Still more Civil War era. I liked to believe that the souls who had no visitors were happy when we stopped by. You are doing more than you may ever realize with this wonderful channel. Thank you.

Let me just say, you and Giuseppe hit the the nail on the head when you teamed up after you shared the same brilliant idea of creating an app that helps you locate famous people's graves. You two are geniuses at what you do. I am obsessed with your videos. Before I knew about your channel, seeing memorials or hearing about a celebrity's death was always such a sad thing to me. But since I started watching your videos it is fascinating to be able to not only pay respect to a celebrity but also get to learn about their life as you give us a brief summary on what he or she was famous for. Always respectfully done, your way of speaking of the dead is never grim or depressing which is why I can literally sit and watch your videos for hours. I don't watch tv. KZread is my thing and your channel is a favorite of mine. Keep up the awesome work!👍👍

I'm a Hollywood Graveyard junkie. I lived in North Hollywood in the late 70's early 80's and used to visit some of the graves. I was there when John Wayne died in June of 79. I went to his funeral. I used to work as a carpenter on the Warner's set and I sold a screenplay with Joyce Selznick representing it. (Never hit the screen, but made enough money to get back to Texas) I became a biographer in the next 40 years with books on Barbara Jordan, Sam Walton, George Strait and Johnny Rodriguez. I've thought about doing a Texas version of Hollywood Graveyard here in Austin, Texas. We have a lot of stars here in the graves of Texas. Might do that one day when I finally decide to retire, which may never be never. Might call the show: STARS UNDER TEXAS. What do ya think? Ha! Keep 'em coming, Arthur. I wish I had your voice.

So many of the actors from these shows have passed away & I think a show on them would be well worth it. I don't recall seeing any of them on any other grave show, BUT I like yours best because you always get to the point in your searches. I love your series and I think the care you exhibit in these productions just shows so clearly. I think what captured me anyway was the opening score, it just evokes a nostalgic feel for me. I think it’s really cool that this endeavor has led you to discover the so many talented people you were never aware of. Im 60 and a big pop culture and movie fan. I just love famous graves. I live in New York and would love to help you in any way . We have some great cemeteries here. I like to think that I took one of the last photos of Garlands grave before her cross country trip. Good luck and keep up the great work.

since being in PA makes it quite an effort to come out west, I haven't....yet! what was interesting was that in planning my trip, I wanted to find a few gravesites and in doing research, I stumbled onto YOUR channel! I've enjoyed it ever since... The respect you give to those who passed, get's you respect from those who see. well done!

As someone born in 1999, I watched most movies in the 2000s. As I got older, I started exploring movies from the 80s and 90s. Right now I'm exploring the 40s, 50s and 60s, so I've seen movies like The Apartment, Some Like It Hot, George Burns Show, What's My Line, Casablanca, Laura, It's a Wonderful Life, The Graduate and so on because of you. Thanks and keep sharing, because I wouldn't have known this without your insight

I know this is a two year old video. But I'd like to say, I try to watch your videos before I head to bed. Giuseppe's dittys fresh in my head help me to fall asleep. Not that they are dull or boring, quite the opposite. They are catchy, and help clear my head from the days chaos.

I was lucky enough to visit Poe’s grave. There are two stones where Poe is. The original and the one now in front of the cemetery now that he’s famous. He wasn’t so famous when he died you know. People cover both with pennies because as the history books say “he died penniless.” When you go, back near the original marker is a child’s stone that reads “Sleep baby sleep- not in thy cradle bed, but with the silent dead.” I am not kidding.

This visiting of the dead is my favorite on the road vacation pastime. I started on trips to LA back in the 1980s. My friend Kay owned 'Near Escapes' in San Francisco and among other local trips organized 'visits to cemetery' tours in the Bay Area. The pet cemetery in the SF Precidio and the pet cememtery in Colma are not to be missed. You haven't lived until you visit folks that are dead. It can be amazing to find out who is where!

I am going through your special playlist and watching this video, the question about life, the universe and everything came up and I actually shouted at the screen, “42, say it, say 42” I whooped so loud when you did that my housemates looked at me strange...

I think it’s very nice you don’t want to do anyone who is recent to give their family time to grieve. These are so well done. The only thing is when you or one of your viewers come across a grave that is not clean to make it nice or at least sweep it so the market can be read. My father ate at Denny’s every day and he had a menu in his coffin at his viewing and funeral. service. He was cremated and the friend who brought it took it with him. Everyone laughed when they saw it. That was funny about the plate of food with coffee.

I just discovered your channel and have watched EVERY episode. Not kidding! I rarely do that. I love this. I live in San Francisco, but have visited LA many times and have been to many of the cemeteries you visit. I've been to many of the places and love them dearly. My parents believed very much in visiting cemeteries when we traveled and felt that everything about a society could be learned by how they took care of their dead. So, wherever I travel, I go to at least one cemetery. Cheers!

I would love it if Giuseppe would upload to KZread, full versions of the music tracks you use on your videos. I love your KZread channel, 1987 was my 1st visit to Los Angeles, and I went to Westwood and Hollywood Forever Cemeteries, the past couple of years I have been spending quite a bit of time in Southern Nevada, so I really want to find some time to visit LA again for a few days of famous grave spotting, with the use of your videos to guide me along the way
