On may 1st, 2022 a large number of Sri Lankans gathered at Hollywood Blvd. Where the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame is and carried out a very successful protest against the president and the corrupt politicians in Sri Lanka for ruining the world famous island country in the Indian ocean.The
protesters were carrying placards and shouting slogans asking the President and the Govt. to resign.This protest is a part of a series of protests that took place in major cities throughout the U.S.A that were held in solidarity with the fellow Sri Lankans who are protesting in Sri Lanka.
The protests were organized by the Sri Lankan student collective in the us.
