+Mike Younis Jesus ate with sinners, he went to where the hurt is, he became human and came to this planet with all the "Sinful stuff" how can you call yourself a Christian, if you don't follow Christ INTO the sinful world, to make friends, and relationships that will allow you to minister directly to the hurt, and the broken, and the sinful? I hope you get a reality check some day and realize that you're not a Christian, which literally means "Little Christ," you're a church-goer.

Camodor Camodor, I dont go to church...Hollyn singing taylor swift and frozen songs has NOTHING to do with what Jesus did when He sat and ate with sinners. jesus sat with sinners to draw them to Himself and to repentance. You do not know me Camodor. Just like I dont know Hollyn, so I didnt say She isnt following Jesus, I said I HOPE she is following Jesus...though sadly most christian artists arent, so she may not be...but idk...ANYWAY, There is something VERY SERIOUS going on here Camodor, your comment was a HUGE misinterpretation of these bible scenes of Jesus drawing sinners near to Himself and I hope you know the truth about this. Please read this comment...please...I say this out of love btw, we can be friends if you want...do you kinda get what i am saying though??

I think so, let me run it by you though. You're saying that you don't go to church but you know that the scripture talks about Jesus drawing sinners unto himself, you say that Jesus was doing something entirely different than Hollyn? You claim that most Christian artists are not following Jesus, and I agree that they might not be, but only God knows for certain. Anything I missed?

Camodor Yes. You got it right :) i dont go to church for several reasons, such as the fact that many of the churches are preaching false doctrines, also these churches are businesses, they are clearly of the world, they are 501c3 non profit organizations and they are tax exempt for agreeing with the government on rules they can and can't preach, and many in church dont know Jesus, we have to get out of the church pew and do God's will. Anyway Thanks for understanding :)

Well, now that I understand, I need you to know that I disagree on a few points before I continue. I think we are both trying to share our point of view in a dire attempt to save a brother in Christ, so I don't mind getting passionate feedback, but I feel that God hardwired me for Polemics so I hope you'll excuse me for being a little overenthusiastic as well. If you don't go to church, the very HOUSE OF GOD, then where is the connection? I know for a fact that the Bible says "not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." in Hebrews 10:25. So could you please explain your rationale for not going to church for me in different words? I'm not particularly good at seeing the other side of a debate (Friendly or otherwise) and understanding their position. Personally, I believe that if a pastor is not preaching biblically that it is the people's job to first remove the log from their own eye, by going back to scripture and seeking the word of God on their own, and THEN removing the splinter from the pastor's eye so that the leader of God's people in that church isn't leading people astray. Other than that, I would refer you to the rather cliched passage 14“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16 which obviously means that people ought to be able to see God in you, I would argue that if you aren't engaging with the sinful people around you, then they're not seeing someone who represents Christ, they're seeing something else, whether they think you're self-righteous, or they think that you've got it all together, or you're some religious nut, I don't know, but I think it is a Christian's job to be light that reaches out and touches the darkness. I'm sorry for the short novel, and I would apologize if I come across as "Holier than thou" but I would love to continue this conversation and learn more about why and what you believe and continue to offer rationale for my beliefs. Perhaps we're not so different on the whole, but I think that if God really is alive and we are His hands and feet, that we ought to be right about these particular details, thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing back from you.
