Holly Waldrup & Savannah Chrisley talk Athletes, Addictions & Affairs on Unlocked Podcast Ep. 06

Ойын-сауық

In this episode of Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, Savannah and Holly get vulnerable about their personal lives. Holly shares how her unholy matrimony, filled with betrayal, strip clubs and affairs, nearly drove her back to old habits of hyper independence and addiction. She describes the experience of becoming the sole caretaker for her son, Nash, who was the youngest child to ever to be diagnosed with Autism at Vanderbilt at the time and how that shaped her life.. The confusion of being married yet feeling so isolated and alone drove her to start questioning the man she married. Would he ever step up and become a partner to her? And when is it time to walk away?
The two unlikely friends found out how similar they are by choosing to lean on each other when their pain became too much to bear alone. Savannah’s fear of losing her parents and Holly’s fear of her family breaking apart made way for an unbreakable bond to develop between them. When it comes to getting back into the dating world…. Well, these two independent women may need another trip to onsite before trusting a man again! Savannah shares her most traumatic break up story to date and heeds warning about a certain athlete. No…it’s not Chandler Parsons… Which means it can only be one other. You won’t want to miss this!

I always wait for your podcasts. They truly help me personally. I am Holly when it comes to the addiction part with anxiety. I'm petrified to seek help. I've been reluctant to talk about it and I struggle daily. Prayer does help but I've been dealing with anxiety since I can remember which I was 7 years old. The divorce and single mom situation is no joke either and Holly is a trooper. Savannah, please be blessed in your friends and family. I dont have that support. Your podcasts help. Keep going for all of us that cant speak. Thank you, Pamela

I can completely relate to some of both of y'all's situation. I hurt my back at work years ago and got addicted to pain killers. Then went through a nasty divorce. My ex-husband used that to brainwash my 2 boys who are now 22 and my youngest son will be 21 on Valentine's day . My kids have not talked to me in several years no matter how hard I try to talk to them. I am blocked on their social media. I now live in IL and they are in Michigan. But I still have to put on a happy face a go to work everyday and pretend everything is good when I am just so heartbroken and just plain broken inside... I still go to addiction therapy once a month and I have been clean and sober for 5 years. I have to say Savannah your pod cast's get me through some days when all's I want to do is just cry. I don't want to live the rest of my life without my kids. But right now I live in a 1 bedroom on the 3rd floor, my mom moved in with me a few months ago who I have to take care of. She's on oxygen and struggles so bad to get up and down the stairs so she doesn't leave the apartment unless she has a doctor's appointment. Oh I forgot to mention she sleeps in my living room. It's just so hard because I also work full time. People always like to judge others by what they look like and I am here to tell you, people you Never ever know what someone else is going through!! Don't judge a book by it's cover! Because for the most part I hate my life without my children but my boyfriend or my mom have no idea. I always try to put on a happy face and get through the day...

Absolutely. I had a friend give me the best advice during the last part of my last marriage. She said to make sure I’m doing everything I can in my power to help the marriage. That includes not withholding anything, that way if the relationship doesn’t work out, I can be confident knowing I gave 200% and knew I tried everything. No regrets and I can peacefully move forward. I’ve now found the Love of my life and I’m able to have a whole and healthy relationship because I am completely at peace and have closure from my past. ❤

Sassy, I love your podcast. This is the first and only podcast that I follow. I am closer in age to your mom and I absolutely LOVE HER AND TODD. Do not let the negative comments affect your day. If someone has never been in film they don’t realize what goes on to put this together, well not so much the podcast but the reality show. I will continue to pray for you and what your family is about to go through unfortunately in front of the world. Girl y’all got this. I know your a Christley and what I see of your family they seem pretty bad ass and I realize they aren’t perfect and everyone screws up believe me. However, I do think y’all will come out better on the other side for what y’all have been through as a family. I too have been through some similar problems and at the time I was fortunate enough to be able to go through spiritual therapy and I hope you too lean on God to help get you through it all. I will be praying for you and your family. Love y’all!!!

Great podcast ladies. Holly, what you were talking about with your ex is called spiritual bondage. Or being in bondage to sin. This is explained in Acts 8:23, Romans 6:6,16,19 and 2 Peter2:19. Jesus Christ is the only way to break that bondage John 8:32-34. There is a difference between a person who lives according to the flesh ( unbeliever) and one who lives according to the Spirit ( believer) Romans 8:5-13. His lack of empathy and emotion is very concerning. It means his spirit and conscious ( the ability to hold himself accountable) has been damaged. It’s what my grandmother said when Satan has found and entered your back door. A person like this are very prideful, selfish, lack respect, empathy and don’t love themselves or anyone else. Pray for him. Pray for the type of man - partner/ spouse you would like from the Lord. Be very specific. I prayed for a husband of the Lord’s choosing for me. After two and a half years of no dating I received that blessing. My expectations were exceeded greatly. My beloved husband and I will celebrate 35 wonderful years together this December. My dad always said don’t date someone you would not marry. You should not join yourself with an unbeliever. You cannot change him. Only Jesus Christ can. Congratulations on your sobriety and overcoming addiction Holly! Be proud of your hard work and good example. It’s a life long road. Bless your beautiful precious son. Savannah, pray for this young man you speak of. I know who he is. Also pray for his now wife. You can not have a solid marriage if the foundation is fractured to begin with. God bless both of you ladies and your families. With every valley of trials and tribulation there are hills and mountains in our blessings from the Lord Jesus Christ

Savanna will you be forthright and tell your fabs and update us about your mother and father's trial this coming week? Unfortunately, it's already in the limelight, and the fans would like to hear firsthand news from you instead of the Fake News media. Times like these is when we must turn to Christ Jesus and The Holy Bible for answers. 🙏🏼☝🏼

If her life was perfect would you have not accepted her. Was the criteria for acceptance her having problems. Trying to understsnd.

I would have accepted her, I just wouldn’t have been moved to hang out with her because I couldn’t see how much we related. I don’t relate to perfection.

Not one of your Best unlocked episodes. Are you going to just be interviewing your friends? If so please take this as gentle recommendations and go back and listen and make note of how much you interrupt your guests.

Okay I'm with everyone else here; let your guest speak 😑. Everytime the lady was about to speak about her son she was interrupted and it was like "oh let's talk about your trauma". Geez.

There’s only ONE “higher power”. Her Christian perspective means nothing to me once hearing that statement. I can receive from other areas but not anything pertaining to God.

There are lots of secular sites around. So, why watch Savannah when you have no respect for who she is? Just to criticize?
