40 years later everyone still gets a thrill singing this one, every time! Thine all the glory Lord!
Questi documenti sono meravigliosi! Grazie!
I love the Holly Springs singers. Such spirit and passion. I listen to all the sacred harp singers I find on KZread.
Sacred harp singing is a little tricky to pick up, especially if you’ve never read music. This is an important folk tradition to many communities in the South, and one which pulls churchgoers closer to God and their community.

Actually, it's easier to pick up than ordinary written music, especially if you've never read music. But I can see how someone would find it tricky if they're not used to pronouncing the different shapes, Fa, So, etc.
Not my favorite kind of singing but I do in joy it .It is important to keep this kind of singing alive.
Fascinating. I only knew a little about sacred harp singing, pretty much just that it uses the shape note system, but looking into it it has a pretty unique way of harmonizing as well.

Some of the best community anywhere, at least in the countryside where things haven't been invaded so much by woke people.
Is this Holly Springs Baptist? My parents got married at Holly Springs Baptist in 1977 and this doesn’t look like the same church at all
annoying noise
