The Shining and Salem
The Stand was formative for me. For the kind of bittersweet nostalgia evoked by Stand By Me I cannot recommend Joyland enough! I loved Holly!

I haven’t had a chance to read Joyland, is that one part of a series? Holly is great! I think my favorite King book is The Shining, I have a hard time letting go of that one. I still need to read Doctor Sleep, it sits on my shelf annoyed that I haven’t read it yet. Sooooon 😂
I’m on pg 111. It’s great so far. King gets to the point quicker now. I was hooked 50 pages in. The villains are amongst the most terrifying ever

They are super creepy villains, I really liked this story a lot. I need to read other books featuring Holly.📚
Currently reading it and I like Holly better than Billy Summers and Fairy Tale when it comes to his recent books. This is the King I've missed.❤

I liked this one a lot. I felt it was such a different animal from Fairy Tale which I also enjoyed. Still not sure which I liked better though, I might be leaning more towards Holly.☺️📚
Stephen King always coming through with that great horror story. The only movie I can think of was X which is creepy old people who turn out to be serial killers.
