Hollowing out during transitions? | Help your horse get SOFT
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
"How do I get my horse to stay soft and collected through transitions?"... This is one of the NUMBER ONE problems people come to us with. Whether you're working on walk to trot, trot to lope, or walk to lope, etc...the same steps will apply to each transition. Today I'm going to show you my process for teaching this mare to stay soft when she lopes off. We're talking about leg cues, body position, hand position, and corrections when things don't go right.

Good information should be very helpful to many. Often the correct lead is achieved more often and sometimes softens the transition by directing hindquarters to the outside before the squeeze encouraging inside Lead. When the head comes up the back is hollow is how I look at it. Thanks again fun to watch.
Thanks for sharing, Jacqueline - just found the solution for a hole in my horse's transition training. You have no idea how your advice is being helpful every single time!

Thank you for this video! I have been riding for a while, but have the problem with my horse doing this at transitions. This really helped. Can't wait to show my boy off more next season.
