Team Cherry You guys are awesome! This is the best platformer metroidvania game in ages. Honestly goty so far in my eyes. Every aspect of the game has passion and soul behind it. Art in all senses. I really hope you guys get more recognition : )

A suggestion of Xbox controller button remapping: use RB for nail arts AND keep X for normal attacks. Currently it's so awkward to great slash in the air because a thumb has to manage two buttons simultaneously. I just switched RB and X and found the trial of fools a lot easier. But I still wish to use X for normal attacks. (Why RB for quick cast? I can't find any use in it.)

After attempting and failing the trial about 10 times, your video made me understand one particular mistake that I was doing: sticking to a full spell build instead of a melee build (I also did not use nail arts much before). After switching to Unbreakable Strength, Quick Slash, Mark of Pride, Nailmaster's Glory and Grubsong I was able to beat it first try. Great video and thanks a lot!

Was linked to this from a reddit post. Really well done. Great charm setup and really great movement. Dash Slash put in some work. Very cool to see. Dash Slash is a Nail Art I don't often use but after seeing this video, I'm going to be rethinking my own Nail tactics. Clinging to the wall during the wave of Death Loodles was such a cool maneuver too! Again, great job! :D Seeing this also reminded me how much I miss the original Quick Slash. xD

Oh my god, truly amazing. I can't imagine how many times you must have had to practice this.

That last enemy at 6:23 committed suicide after seeing the wrath inflicted by you upon his brethren.

Doesn't count, those howling wraiths were released before they opened the doors :P

There is a reason they call the charm "Nailmaster's Glory." You use this charm like a true nailmaster. Holy shit this was good. Just curious, did you use controller or keyboard?

Definitely keyboard. On controller, (atleast on my dualshock 4) the controls are pretty good, but if you want to charge up your nail, you have to hold the attack button, while also mashing others buttons to... y'know.. play the video game

You are a god, but screw this trial! I finally gotten sick and tiered of failing today and so decided to look up a video just to see if I'm even close... not even half way. As much as I'd love to 100% this game I just don't think I'll ever have the reflexes for it.

You should try equipping the nail master and quick slash charms, they make it a LOT easier.

Quick Slash for sure, but I'm gonna need to get better at even remembering the chargeable nail arts exist before I can really get any benefit out of the Nail Master Charm.

Emeral Bookwise I'm currently stuck here as well, but I use the nailmasters glory as much as possible. Those damn flying bugs that shoot 3 projectiles give me so much trouble, but they die in 1 charge shot

I've been stuck in the aerial section for so long but you make clinging to the wall while charging the nail look so goddamn easy. At some point my thumb always slips off when pressing the other button. Gotta keep working to build that muscle memory I suppose.

I’m nearly speechless... I know you are amazing at this game, but even given that, it must have taken months of dedication to memorize the actual fight sequence in order to handle it so flawlessly... I watch KZread to laugh and see cool stuff... but having attempted and failed this trial more times than I can count, you have actually inspired me... I will NEVER be able to flawlessly beat it, it knowing there is someone that can, makes me believe that I can at least soldier through and sloppily complete it, if only once.

Finally got rid of this pain in the ass. My charm setup: Quick Slash, Longnail (instead of Mark of Pride so I can squeeze one more single notch charm in), Stalwart Shell, Thorns of Agony, Nailmaster's Glory and Dream Wielder.

@Weyu Good tactics. Well played. Best way to avoid spin slash is by not learning it. :)

The Colosseum of fools will be even great if the spectators in that colosseum were to go wild(stomping, tossing of clothes, flowers, even their masks, etc..) as they acknowledge the player's deft and dexterous moves while challenging each wave, or a feedback for every move made by the player. This should encourage players to pull off more challenging and deft maneuvers. Sick battle btw!! 😀😎

did you by any chance change the keybindings of attack and dash buttons? you seem to be using nailmaster and jumping/dashing around so smoothly anyway, great job c:

Nah, just using the default controls on a PS3 controller. It's mostly muscle memory and practice.

So good. The enemies before the boss are harder than the boss itself

Trial of fools made me appreciate the soul twisters and primal aspids for not being the hardest thing about this challenge.

i have so much trouble jumping and doing nail arts at the same time. i can't hit the jump button as quick when im handling down attack so i end up fucking up most attempts to kill those primal aspids and taking tons of damage for it.

Damn, in a way this video actually helped, as I struggle with Trial of the Conqueror and I didn’t know you could kill aspids and armoured squits with just a nail art. What nail upgrade is it? Cause it could depend on that.
