I'm putting this video to make the battle more epic and it's really leaving even if grimm is killing me

Nightmare King has to be one of my favorite bosses if not my favorite boss in Hollow Knight. Something about it is so graceful and surprisingly, it was fun to fight him for the first time even when I died over and over.

I just beat grimm (nightmare king) Here’s a short guide (if you’ve already beaten him well done: It’s a hard fight): Only attack in his fire bats attack, fire pillars attack and Try pogoing the fire dive attack. Otherwise dash through his uppercut attack and scramble about for his root thingy attack. My charms for beating him were: (unbreakable) Strength, Quickslash (both for firebats and fire dive), Shawman’s (for shrieking up his **** in his fire pillars attack.) And (unbreakable) heart.

​@@Souperpizzaboy well it's been 8 months but in case you haven't beaten nkg yet the charm Loadout that I found works really well is quick Focus shape of unn grimmchild obviously and quick slash some tips you can heal during the fire bat attack if you are using shape of unn quick focus makes dodging stuff while healing easier and also makes it so that you can feel during opportunities where you wouldn't normally have an opportunity to heal just remember the only truly safe opportunity to heal during the Stagger if you need to heal during the Stagger heal you aren't going to lose because you didn't get one or two nail hits but you are going to lose because of these the fact that you're on one mask

​@@Souperpizzaboy just in case Grimm handed you your ass on a silver platter for eleven months straight, here's my own short guide; For the charms,quickslash, Mark of pride, longnail, and soul eater. These will be changed soon, but hold on. For the attacks, scram for the vine things, move slightly for each flame pillar then abyss shriek on the fourth, for the dive pogo then shade dash through the flames to the opposite side of the dash (if he went left, you pogo then go right), for the flame bats weave through and go to Grimm, then hit twice with nail and shade soul, and for the uppercut pogo then hit him in the air. Get used to the pacing of the fight without the strength charm. That's important. Once you've set the speed of the fight in stone, used to the pacing and how your damage relates to his health, go to the nearest bench and swap soul eater for strength and a 1 notch of your choice. Then burn the nightmare king to ash. Such concludes my nkg radiant guide, that said, of you've any need for this past a year now, you may need some real good luck for absrad. Happy pain.

​@@WigglyWoo If that's the case, maybe it could be the explanation for why he is yellow instead of red? Maybe even to match the channel colors? Cause it's made with blue and yellow colors, so Grimm wears a blue(ish) cloak and the Scarlet Flames are yellow.
