I love your videos, they really helped me out when I was stuck and had no idea where to go or what to do. Now I got all charms, all grubs, and all the upgrades. Defeated the NK Grimm, aswell as the normal Hollow Knight. Did the regular ending and the sealed siblings ending. Now I'm going to get the "real" ending with the void heart.

Personally I prefer spell twister, as a person who spams spells alternating shades and nails like no tomorrow the more offensive based charm letting me get off a chain of 4 casts (24 each). The casting thresholds on soul catcher is strong on paper since it has healing utility but since it requires 33 soul to cast or heal the thresholds you don’t get as much in the short term since you don’t see much gain in an immediate combat scenario,spell twister tends to be more helpful. All this of course ignores the 4 charm slot elephant in the room soul eater with a whopping +8 soul per hit, which perfectly combos with soul eater for perfect double soul gain hitting the usage threshold for two casts in three hits granting exceptional utility at the cost of 6 whole slots. If you want a balance of power and proliferation soul catcher and spell twister combo greatly vs soul eater as two hits (28 soul) contributes to one cast (+4) this lets you get off more casts more efficiently

Interesting timing Relyea. I started playing HK just last year and have been grinding AbsRad in the HoG this week before going back into P5. Finally got 4 Ws last night. And I kept going back and forth between these two charms. I ended up sticking with Catcher because of its versatility. I'm just not going to No Hit AbsRad. So the extra soul for both spells and heals in a mostly Nail build was clutch. But I also did well with Twister too. But for fights and situations where I'm more comfortable and don't heal as much, Twister would definitely be a great choice like you say. Or when I become a God gamer and can no hi AbsRad 😂. Happy New Year.

lets all just admit it, we never knew the raw numbers of soul catcher so we thought it was insane,but its almost nothing compared to the amount that gets saved by spell twister, but we never knew this, until we looked at either this or the wiki

i use spell twister more than soul catcher because I use way more spells than I do heal. I used it for my any radiance clear.

Actually you can actually do 10 spells with soul twister because even if you're at low soul then if you're like about to get a right amount of soul you can still hit them with a spell I use this a lot against watcher nights

you forgot to mention that you can spam 4 spells at once instead of 3 with spell twister which makes a huge difference at bosses like radiance where you can easily spam some shrieks

My man, you have NOT seen the hollow knight community, Daily Silksong News repeats, the same thing, every single day, it reached 1000 days a while ago, it just doesn't stop, the speedrunning community, just getting all of godhome also takes ton of time, the hollow knight community is DEDICATED, *ignoring the fact that this video is more meant for people who are just picking up hollow knight because of the silksong hype.*
