good stuff. super nice truck . pro tip - i'd get a bung welded into that exhaust asap. get rid of that clamp. if it doesn't leak now, it will eventually. exhaust leaks on these systems are a pita. if you want some decent info on the holley systems or tuning on them, check out a few of my videos. off to watch part 2 now.

Really enjoyed this video. Hope the Sniper is still running strong for you. Love some of the mods you made to that old truck. Some great imagination and craftsmanship. Looking forward to see more of your work.

Nice play on words . . . Drive Responsively (like being “responsive”) instead of Drive Responsibly (like being “responsible”) with a vehicle with probably at least 3x the horsepower the 50 Dodge came with (flat 6). I know, as I have one too. Nice truck and keep plugging away on it.

Keep the videos coming, I'm on one of the same FB groups as you and love your pickup. ( I don't care if it's Chevy powered, if my 318 dies I'm going with a 5.3 )

Great video! Your IAC looks like its to high. If you adjust the throttle screw to increase idle it should bring your iac down to where it should be. I think the spec is 0-10 and yours is in the 20s

Love the truck!. I just bought a sniper 2 to install on my 1978 K5 Blazer. Getting ready to start installing it this weekend. I'm hoping Holley got all of the bugs worked out from the gen 1 units.

They are pretty good. Just make sure that the engine doesn't have any other issues like bad wires, have your ground, positive and acc wires directly to the battery and dedicated ignition source that stay s hot when cranking and you should be good. My transmission had a vacuum leak which was the root of all my issues. Thx, Eric

Thanks for the tips. Truck runs pretty good on the carb, so hopefully I’m starting from a good spot. Got the fuel pump in the tank today. Hopefully I’ll get it competed next weekend.

Did you consider using the Holley PDM? That’s what I’ve gotten for my Sniper 2. But I'm having trouble with them coming on. Using ColdCase 14” fans, thinking they won't work with the new install. Can you possibly do a video showing how you connected? Very nice truck, by the way. Good video.
