It's like gold, platinum and diamonds that are spewed out like an avalanche by a volcano. I just saw it again today after a year or so, and it gave me shocks all over my body. So so so absolutely beautiful, so pure and of world class.

After all this years this still touches my heart and bring tears in my eyes from the first second she began to sing!

The first time I saw this video I was stunned by her voice and I fell in love with her voice and my eyes was never dry because of her voice.

I have lost count over the years how many times I've watched this beautiful moment. It remains my beautiful moment a true star was born 😊

She nailed that song better than many accomplished vocalists, one of my favorite operatic songs...beautiful, make one wonder what she’ll be like when she’s older......

My Dad is a professional musician and I know enough about music and talented people to say without a doubt that this girl is way better that Evancho, there is no comparison. How on earth could anyone not love her, she's an absolute delight to watch and hear. Such a beautiful voice, it would be difficult to believe if one did not see and hear her perform.

I love the looks of surprise and a touch of shock on everyone's faces. If she keeps on with the Opera she will go far in life

As an Italian I can tell you that the words are not pronounced very correctly but, considering the age she was when she sang this aria, she gave a fantastic and very in tune performance. I got goosebumps listening to it.

the birth of an angel. She has so grown up. We already thought she was great back then but you must listen to her right now. A true shining diamond.

That cheeky smile and angelic voice has taken her all over the world! I have been a fan of the soprano or opera though I play the classical guitar,but after listening to her singing,I have now become her biggest fan and I listen to her everyday.

Elke keer als ik deze video bekijk, is het een ontmoeting met God. En als ik ooit een slechte dag heb gehad op het werk, kijk en luister ik ernaar. Dit zingen van het getalenteerde meisje faalt altijd om mijn ziel te genezen.

Such an incredible performance! And leave Gordon alone. He was amazed like the rest of us. I love Amira. I listen to it over and over.

The point here is not if she has sung with famous people or not, the point here is that Amira has demonstrated that she is at a higher level than any other kid singing opera in the world, that is why I have said that she has no competition nowadays.

she has been given the gift of a beautiful voice, a natural physical genius which cannot be taught, you either have it or you don't. But where she scores above any other prodigy I have ever seen or heard is in the passion, sincerity and complete projection of her personality at such an age. Okay, people will train her to be a very good opera singer, she'll have good years and difficult years before she matures completely, but as long as she keeps that natural, unteachable ability to lose herself in the personality of the role she is singing she will be the biggest opera star in the world before she is 25. Compared to this girl, over coached professional singers of tender years - especially the victims of ambitious parents - might as well go home now.

This little girl has such an amazing voice...it brought me to tears

OMG!!..I'm sitting here watching, stunned & marvelling at the beauty sincerity & unabashed joy in the rendering of this aria by this tiny angel. What ability..(an old soul indeed!) Nearly in tears. Exquisite!! the voice of a cherub. My late mother was an operatic soprano and Mobil sponsored aria quest entrant for music for the people back in melbourne in the late 40's early (50's) I think she may have sung this work from Puccini at least once in her singing days. Possibly the most dramatic and beautiful of Puccini's works? Maria Callas is well known for her interpretation of this aria around the world too of course!

You really must see more of Amira's performances since this. See her with conductor Andre Rieu a few months after this singing the same aria in front of 15,000 people. Historic performance. So many others to choose from. Fast forward if you wish to see her lately singing a ' Sound of Music ' medley. Opera is her first love, but she can sing anything. And in 11 different languages. Enjoy.

@@robertevers6239 Jackie is great but there are several measures one has to consider to make informed decision - which puts personal preference aside - firstly - Jackie herself has admitted that when she needs to reference a certain song, and to practice it she first listens to how Amira sings it - secondly - emotional gravitas - Amira reduces most audiences to tears in many of her performances - I have not noticed this from Jackie - thirdly - views - views on social media is a reliable barometer of what fans/followers/viewers are thinking and what they really enjoy or find special - Amira wins this criteria hands down and, in fact, her view data defy normal patterns or trends and just keep on improving daily, weekly and monthly - fourthly - Amira brings a complexity to her tonal quality that puts her in a unique category and way in front of her contemporaries - time will tell....

Yet Amira continues to mention her gratitude to Jackie, for being an inspiration before her audition, and in a recent radio interview said she would like to perform with her. Another measure you didn't mention is the number of professional musicians, even famous professional opera singers, who have chosen to do duets with Amira. Examples are opera singers Ben Heijnen, Cecilia Rangwanasha, Fabio Armiliato, Sunnyboy Dladla, Gissur Páll Gissurarson, and Jannie Moolman, and other famous singers include Paul Potts, Patrizio Buanne, and Corlea Botha. I think that speaks volumes about how her professional peers perceive her talent.

Ten years later I still love listening to Amira she is an angel.

I have watched and listened to this child and her angelic voice at least 4 or 5 times a day since this was first broadcast. I wish we could see the translation. But not really necessary, her beautiful facial expressions explain clearly. May God keep her, and her voice as angelic in the future when she becomes famous, as she is now. ♥

So true. For all these years, since the performance of this cute little beautiful creature at HGT 2013, all fans admire Amira's facial expressions, her often closed eyes. However, I will say that the parents were mainly concerned about the slimness of her teeth, but the fact is that she has lumenophobia, a fear of bright lights, and there is a need to correct this by eating more carrots and fresh carrot juice so that all works are saturated with unique facial expressions and body movements inherent in Amira. Angels also need to eat.. Sorry. Her eyes should look without tension, more at ease and the charm of the image will remain on top. Yatrophilosophus Matthaeus.

That's actually my dear daddy. In english we have father, dad and daddy (sometimes even papa) the same in italian: padre, papa (with an accent), babbo and babbino, which is a diminutive from babbo (not bambino - that's a child). This aria is sung by Lauretta, whose dad didn't accept her boyfriend and that's why it is so melodious and sad.
