The best way to attach holiday lights to vinyl siding is to use the versatile "All-in-one" clip. Plastic tie wraps are the best thing to use when you find a downspout on a corner that you're lighting, regardless of the type of siding on the house.

Do you install the bulbs into the clips on the roof line/gutters facing downward for a particular reason? (i.e. rain, etc) or does it not matter/personal preference?
