Hi from New Zealand and a Happy 2024 New Year to you all, a small hint when putting a gingerbread house together make a simple syrup with a slight more substance to it, dipt the house and roof edges in the syrup put each piece together hold for a few seconds till it holds, and then continue to construct and decorate.🎊🎉🍾🥂🥃

Simon clearly wasn't bothered with us watching his woodworking skills as he was trying to focus on the job at hand, continued looking serious UNTIL Vivienne noticed how excellent his workmanship was as it fitted to perfection; a definite twinge of a smile.

Thank you for sharing all the joyful moments with us! Very innovative idea to extend the table with some ingenuity and common sense! Brilliant! Love Isabelle’s crochet flowers! Quite amazing her choice of colors and fine needle work! I couldn’t help but be aware of her great use of time ... even in passive moments she was accomplishing more stitches. Smart girl! Lol 😂 at the gingerbread house! Too funny how Isabelle and her grandfather just enjoyed their time together and played it off! A sweet moment! 😂 Ahem; as for Simon’s shirt ... I completely understand... this is where he stores his magic! I painted in the same pants from 7th grade until somewhere in my 50’s. I knew if I was wearing them, I could paint better!! 😂. Yeah; well it worked!!! (Now I just lay them across my lap... well the rear-end fell out... and they had shrunk ... or something 🤔😉 My dearest Vivian; you have more artistic talent at-the-ready in your baby finger than most people can dream about over the course of their entire life-time! 😘. The Chateau has that wonderful style and grace that makes one want to visit and stay... it’s like a cocoon of beauty, balance and love! The ease of it all!!Amazing!! I so enjoyed this video and all of Christmas locations you shared with us this season! Right down to you and Isabelle playing around in the grocery store! Oh yes I love to crochet. I am now 65 and my Grandma taught me to crochet when I was 11/12 so I have been crocheting a very long time, I have made many, many, many blankets.. all different ones from granny squares to strips quilts which are now my favourite. ❤️

I love that you got a real tree. They smell amazing and are an old tradition, that is so SPECIAL for all those that get to experience it. What a wonderful GIFT to give your family and friends. xo

For the sale of the gingerbread house, I would say, "For Sale As Is!" I've loved all these videos you have shared with us. I can't pick my favorite, since they were all wonderful! Yes. Turkey stuffed with duck. One of the best dinners I ever served was on December 31, 1999. We had Turducken. It is a turkey stuffed with a duck that was stuffed with a chicken, that was stuffed with seafood. It was a hit!

I think that the recipe I used was from a Michelin Restaurant Chef that I found on the internet. It required that the turkey, duck, and chicken had to be deboned. The gravy was amazing! I will search my computer and if I can find it (was a long time ago) I will send it to you. Thanks for your videos. I watch and enjoy them all. @@ChateauLove

Watching you walk through Le Mans was so heart wrenchingly wonderful! I just found out today that my 8th, 9th, and 10th Great Grandparents from the 1550's to the 1650's lived in Le Mans before immigrating to Quebec, Canada and then through "Le Grand Derangement" down to Louisiana where I am from! My mother's maiden name was LeDoux and I've traced the line all the way back to a Jehan LeDoux born in 1495 and died in All. St. Martin, Bourgogne, France! His son moved the family to LeMans for the next 3 generations. To be able to see the medieval buildings that I'm SURE they must have looked at is just mind blowing! Lovely family time and lovely decor.We went to the local flea market here in Florida a few months ago .I saw balls of yarn for 50c each 100% wool .lots of different colours and a few cream coloured .I got busy started crocheting three items at once.I made a faux Aran jumper for one daughter ,I was going to make a throw for my other daughter but thought she might shrink it if washed so I bought regular acrylic yarn to make her a flower garden throw.I decided on a patchwork jacket for myself ,I did different stitches on a few of the squares .I used odd vintage buttons .It worked out great ,My daughters were pleased with their items.Isabellas tulips were cute.Happy New Year x

Oh, lol I've learned very quickly my first year with my husband's family....the canned cranberry sauce or jelly is more fitting is a must 🤦‍♀️. Blending of cultures and family traditions!
