HOLIDAY DESSERT COLLABORATION | BLUEBERRY COBBLER | EASY DESSERT
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I was asked to participate in a holiday dessert collaboration by Lori at Whippoorwill Holler. I just did make it in on the last day of the year. This is a recipe given to me by a late co-worker back in 1990. I enjoyed it so much then, and it is still just as good today. This one is for you James.

If anyone tries this recipe, be sure and use a pyrex dish. The copper loaf pan did not allow the bottom to crust. Phil
Mmmmmm Cobbler! Cobblers are great tasting and easy to prepare. So easy, even the men make them turn out good. Lol 😎. Thanks for sharing.
What a awesome Blueberry Cobbler recipe and a tribute to your friend... I must say what a wonderful couple you guys make... God bless.

I know your mom could make some good one. She was an excellent cook. When we were growing up, all the ladies in the church were good cooks. So different now when you attend a homecoming with lunch on the grounds. Boxes of chicken from KFC or the gro store deli. lol
I Love you guys! Your not to late, your just right, I'm smiling, and tearing up at the same time, what a beautiful tribute to James, and what a wonderful cobbler, and anybody that puts ice cream with their cobbler are my kinda people. So glad I found you, God Bless

Morning Bill. Yea, James loved to eat and brought that cobbler to work. I loved it so much I started making it. He's been gone a long time now. Lots of memories from those days. Just found out another one passed last week. Boy the times we all had. Seems like yesterday. Thanks and have a good weekend. Watch some football and grill something.

Hey, thanks for stopping by. The only thing I did wrong is I should have used a corning or pyrex dish to get the bottom to crust up. This copper pan didn't allow. Still good though. Thanks-Phil
That cobbler looks easy and delicious! It's always great to revisit old recipes. It's also really special when you have the original piece of paper on which an old recipe was written: it makes you think about the person who gave it to you, the times you have made it, etc. That is how I am with Argentine "pastafrola:" I still refer to the piece of paper on which I wrote down my friend's family recipe. Once again, great video. Happy New Year!

@@oren5230 I could plant some blueberry bushes. Another house I use to live at, the neighbor had blueberry bushes down the entire property line which was 175 feet long. He told me help myself. I made blueberry coblers in my sleep. Also while cutting grass I'd rulide by and rake off handfuls, then ride by my grapevine and rake off handfuls of grapes. Ripe figs same way. It's nice to have those on the property.

Happy New Year to all the IFs, PIF, JIF, and TIF and the rest of the family. Yup Phil, work family is like second family some times, thanks for sharing this recipe, not only a good tribute to a friend but also a good way to open up that recipe box some more and share with us and your own family how you guys make your own recipes so you guys can pass them down to all of us as well. I can’t wait to try this, goin to the store to get the stuff and make it on New Years day today, thank you for sharing with us James, RIP, and thanks for Phil and Janet also. Is 2 pints of blueberries equal to about 2 cups or is there some samplin berries left? Jay

Hey Jay, one of the ifers here. 1 pint or 2 cups is what you need, unless you want some for nibblin and cereal in the morning. Be sure and use a pyrex or corning dish. The copper loaf pan worked but feel like it didn't allow the bottom crust to form. Some things work too good. Just finished the best New Year's lunch. Video to come.
