I think it means a lot more than a change of year. The message is much stronger as to the fact that when faced with personal hurt and difficulties you must believe in yourself and believe that goodness and change will rise again in your life thus prompting a change. Many people can't hold on and they end up committing suicide. I had to adopt this song and teach myself that everything is going to be alright- I just have to find the strength to HOLD ON because I can make it! That was not always my belief.

"Hold on, Change is Coming" When I started in the music business after I retired from 30 years as a cop at the age of 53, I began to write music, then doing solo gigs, went to a duo, then a band(The Brian Holtz Band) now returning to solo and duo gigs BUT when I first started music I ran across this video and it moved me so much that every gig I've ever performed I always end my show with this song. Thank you Patti Labelle.
