I laugh at BP PAK record cuz it's just unbelievable..like 6 day... like really? 6 days to get PAK with DEBUT while other GG did it in their Comeback and this GG doing in 6 days not even a week ... 6 days LMAO

They are literally sitting on the top of the world in that debut MV. It's a foreshadow that they will dominate the world!

To be brutally honest, I didn't even think about how this is their debut, but yeah, the earth on which Rose is sitting is turning pink hence indeed foreshadowing their dominance, but this video blew me away with some of those dark scenes!

I dont remember everything but i saw one video " explaining " the whistle mv and it's symbolism. The part i remember the most is the car Rosé was sitting on. The car represented the music industry being stuck in its old ways ( the sand ) and blackpink are sitting on top of it ( they are actually the biggest group in the music industry " on top " ), kinda like they foreshadowed their own success. And if you look inside the car its actually a fish tank with coil fishes which represent the Blinks. If i find the link ill share you, its actually full of symbolism.

Up until you mentioned it I would've NEVER thought about what that car being stuck in the sand represents (and yet it makes so much sense), BP never ceases to amaze me with all of their nuances and how you can take the same video and interpret it 10 different ways with all 10 ways having some type of logic, fucking beautiful!

My favorite scene is Jisoo just nonchalantly floating in the air reading a book.

@@amanda_blink1492 There is a green screen briefly shown in the behind the scenes video for one of the car scenes (slightly past the two minute mark). Most of the video is done without needing it, but it appears to me that it was used sparingly for Whistle. All of their other videos do not use it.

Whistle never gets old! My favorite songs since day one 💗

Jisoo can tell me to Shhhh any day!!!! I love this mv for the visuals. It's so cool! This is still my favorite song of theirs. Jisoo and Teddy talked about recording the whistle for this that it took forever to get it right. Jisoo and Minnie from GIdle can whistle like its an instrument while I'm over here just blowing air 🤣. If you want some happy seeming mvs with dark undertones you definitely gotta see some Red Velvet like Russian Roulette or Peekaboo if you haven't yet! Those are dark! 🤣

whistle is their debut song along with boombayah so it's from 2016 and the 24/365 show is from 2020 but yeah it's a reference to this song. anyway, it's always so great seeing your reaction and thoughts to their music videos and music ! keep going 👍

Great reaction. Yeah, it's got American Horror Story/Witches Coven vibes all over it. Only thing that is missing are those big oversized witches hats. But in a way, it was even creepier with them trying to resemble "normal" humans, but in such other worldly completely unnatural poses, that made them seem like ghosts haunting the house where they killed their unfaithful lover and then killed themselves. I am speculating that evil powers in the house first caused Jisoo to kill her unfaithful lover and then herself. Then Jennie moved in with her lover, and possessed by the evil in the house followed Jisoo's murder/suicide path. Then Rose and her lover followed, same end. Finally, Lisa and her lover. Now they are all trapped, together, forever, with Jisoo's haunting whistle breaking the silence at night (it really is Jisoo whistling in the song). Yeah, creepy, and we all know horror/creepy sells.

@DG Reacts Thanks for the sentiment. I walked out with my head held high. My supervisor is a prick; I've been patient and healthy about it. It's just been a while of it, and I called him out. He doesn't have termination powers, but he gave a false narrative to someone higher up, and based upon that, I'm now on my couch for the day. Ha. It's okay. I stood up against a voice of oppression and unjust leadership with the heart of a lion. LOL. Okay, sure, it's not that dramatic. =p

I wouldnt normally encourage someone's act ofencouraging me, as I'm still very much finding my inner serenity and dont have a fondness towards myself, but I believe this was a moment where I truly represented the growth and maturity I've been working towards over the past year, he said, nearly 30...haha... You're right, you don't know me. I'll tell you one thing, though: I'm pretty honest. Of course, you don't know the dialog between me and my supervisor, and I could make anything up for the sake of appearance. I like to look at it as, why would I lie to this person who doesn't even know me? (Epescially since I brought it up. Lies are typically tools to hide or veil. If that were my motivation I could have not brought it up at all.) I'm always questioning things in life, so I question this even, to some degree...but, I'm an INFJ. I think this could be the way it was meant to be for me. I think I needed this to reinforce the person I want to be as someone I actually have become. I can't even remember the letters for my own mbti but I KNOW it starts with an 'I'! I was seriously, PAINFULLY shy. As quiet as I normally am, there have been times when I VERY LOUDLY have done what you did. It's difficult for me to speak up, until I finally get frustrated enough and get MAD. lol I have serious problems though; I automatically hold grudges forever, I mean WORLD CHAMPION right here. I don't know where I got that from but EVERYBODY who has EVER crossed me, I remember being wronged FOREVER! Even with my really terrible failing memory these days! Whistle is about them starting a game of being idols and the fishes are there fans

For the reality or the series the girls chose the title they would like, and the blinks voted for which one was the best, and the title that won was 24/365 with BLACKPINK which was Lisa's idea and, sure enough, she was inspired by whistle.

"Whistle" is such a good song! Kind of underrated too, at least among their comebacks. I enjoyed your perspective(s) on the video. I had never really thought about the video too deeply beyond it being a visual splendor. Well... my fave scene IS where they're at the table & end up all looking at the camera (& then later they & the table are upside down), as well as Jisoo with the book & when she shushes. It had a "witchy" vibe, but I never knew if that was accidental or intentional. Anyway, thanks for the reaction! It made me think about a video I've seen quite a few times!

You are the only that went into a suspended confused state when the MV were first seen. I think some even just gave up understanding this MV and just enjoyed the music and Blackpink as a group or each member.

Hints is a game in a group BP (controller) of fish fans(blinks)...the main thing is, as it were, about the creation BP - based on this, it is easy to understand the details

My opinion on this video differs from the masses. I always thought this video represented them being so hot they cause global warming. The dead plant between Jisoo and Lisa. The earth turning pink beneath them. The fire and steam/smoke around them. Then them sitting on the frozen truck with snow only to have it melt with fish. Also the room with the dead animals.
