I'm sixty-three years old, and one day remembering my first love and her and I taking a walk in her neighborhood something reminded me of this song. I racked my brain to remember the title, and I only remembered bits and pieces of the lyrics. So I sat at my computer typing in those pieces and realized what an impact a song can have on a life.

Where is Mel now? I want to send a fan letter; something I have done only once in my life, 40 years ago, to Steven Spielberg after I watched E.T. There just isn't anything comparable to this song being sung by Mel Carter. This video should be declared a national treasure.
