Hakodate is one of the most popular destinations in Hokkaido, Japan. With amazing scenery, beautiful buildings, hot springs, and fresh seafood, the city abounds with both urban charm and natural beauty. Also, the night view from the Mount Hakodate is known as one of the best in the world. From Tokyo to Hakodate, it is possible to book a flight or Shinkansen (bullet train). We have visited Hakodate in February. I think there are lots of snow especially in January and February and it is a high season, but I hope there will be a snow if you will go in December😊I wish you a pleasant journey 😇

Hi, which do you think is better from Sapporo to Otaru first and then to Hakodate or Sapporo to Hakodate first and then to Otaru? If we plan a vacation to Hokkaido, then Hakodate and finally plan to continue to Osaka / Kyoto.

Hi, Sapporo and Otaru are close to eachother (about 30 minutes via train), so I recommend Hakodate to Sapporo-Otaru or Sapporo-Otaru to Hakodate. Then you can take a flight to Osaka from Sapporo or Hakodate depending on your route. Have a nice trip 🙂

Hi may I know where did you stay at Hakodate the hotel? And is it better to stay for 1 night in Hakodate and back to Sapporo? And intend to go to Furano too. Thanks

@@HLHOP701 hi, we have booked a hotel through Agoda.com and stayed in Smile Hotel Premium for 1 night. I think 1 night in Hakodate and then staying longer in Sapporo is better. We have visited Furano/Biei as a day trip from Sapporo. Have a nice trip 😇
