I love the Skyward X so much! Think it might be my all time fave. I definitely think it's a marmite shoe though.

Prime x 2 strung is fun and fast! Hoka is for slower runs

I haven't used any Hoka shoes... But I've used the OG Prime X for daily training/long runs.... 3 pairs (1800km - 1700km - 400km and going) . The coverage of the rubber under the shoe was still there after 1800km (even running on gravel from time to time), the LightStrike Pro was still bouncy towards the end. The upper never ripped unlike most other pairs. The only reason I stopped wearing them is maybe the rods under the right foot made running uncomfortable... so anytime I hear about a competitor... I wonder... do they truly last as long?

Looking at getting a max stack for marathon training. I have the Boston 12 in a uk 7.5, should I get the prime x in the same size

Both two totally different shoes that are in the same “class”. Sure they are both max stack carbon plated “super trainers” but the Skyward is made for easy runs while the Prime is meant to move fast.

Although I'm still on the fence about the Prime X 2 being classified fast with it being so heavy. I won't want them on my feet at the end of a sub 3 marathon for sure.

I sill have 3 pairs of the OG Prime X with each having 400+ miles on them. I run 55-70mpw on country dirt roads that are rutted, rocky and far from a road texture. I think people that call the Prime X unstable need to get some ankle strength. Its you, not the shoe.

Agree, OG prime x is still the best. Not so much in using it off road though. 😅

Can this shoe be used at work or even loitering in the street, or is it only for racing?
