Yes, however, this way not always the case. During the time when Germany was split (1949-1990), the "Bundestag", our national assembly, was located in the "Bundeshaus" in Bonn. In 1991 (about a year after German reunification), the Bundestag voted for moving to the old Reichstag building. Since after it has been reconstructed (by 1999), the Bundestag is located in the Reichstag building.

Not to mention the ridiculous amount of interservice rivalry between the Heer, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine, the Abwehr vs SD, SS vs regular army units, and others. It's honestly a miracle that Germany managed to held together with the amount of factions tripping over and sabotaging each other for Hitler's attention.

When you bought up AI not using paratroopers I went "Shit! That's why Germany never wins, even with Air Superiority" because I NEVER BLOODY NOTICED THAT!

Technically they didn't declare war when they were losing, they declared war on the US in 1941, while they still had most of Europe and were advancing in the USSR. Hitler just didn't realise how good the US and USSR were at mass producing stuff

Well Reichstag means "Kingdom Day", such as Swedens Riksdag (Also meaning Kingdomsday) so it has nothing to do with the Nazi's 3rd Reich.

empire instead of kingdom and the "-tag" in this case is not coming from the word "Tag" which means day, but from the word "Tagung" which means assembly. in this case the "-tag" in "Reichstag" is the place were the politicians assemble for their debates and adittionally would it be new to me, that the "Bundestag" is still referred to as the "Reichstag", although it's true, that it is still the same building that existed since the end of WW1

Regarding the sham of the Reichstag... The building still carries the name to this day. The German Bundestag (Federal Diet aka parliament) still convenes to this day within the Reichstag building.

When you turn off Historical AI:

I think the reason the AI doesn't push back is that they calculate what the outcome of a battleplan is before they attack. So you've built lvl 10 forts and they see "Don't attack there, there's forts." And then they don't attack empty land because forts

"Its not attacking if theres no one left to attack"

Here is a random idea play the UK defensively however you can't build planes or use your navy, however you can use Anti-Air and Forts Try to survive and then conquer when you get bored

If you have Level 10 Forts the AI will mostly likely not atttack you. I did the same thing a year ago with the vanilla camp, so no mods, and at the point I had Level 10 Forts, they didn't even try to attack. Just some randoms Volunteers attacked.
