    Funny, poor souls didn't even get a coffin at first, he, their loyal retainers and his children (eldest 22 youngest 13) had to endure a 20 minute long "execution" which some of them (like Anastasia) survived, so they had to be stabbed/shot alternatively, Anastasia for example got her face smashed in after she got up screaming. Instead they got their bodies mutilated, acid thrown all over them, and then finally they got thrown into a mass grave which they had to retrieve them from later, they buried them again, but this time they threw bombs after them to conceal them. Not all of them are buried properly as of yet. "Coffin dance." ngl normally its a fun joke but in this case its just disgustingly disrespectful.

  • @nothinghere4437

    @nothinghere4437

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@Gia1911Logous Ok so, as we all know the definition of a "meme" is a "joke" first off, apologies if I sounded a bit offended/insultive but in general as a distant family member I'm still quite sad and disgusted by what happened to them, whether it be around 102 years ago or not, so hear me out: Now, lets start with your mention of the 1905? shootings. It is true that the Tsar left the palace, but he never gave the orders to shoot, they went undisturbed for a while, and the military was disorganized into various groups thanks to rivalries of generals and captains etc. The Tsar didn't get to see the orders till it had already happened, or was already ongoing and would never have had enough time to react, nor was he aware of what the "protest' was like. Now onto the murders, you're saying "Nicholas got what he deserved." But what of his wife, children and loyal retainers? Keeping in mind his daughters headed charity committees to help those suffering because of the war, and the majority of them served as nurses to tend to wounded soldiers and had the russian peoples' best interests at heart, they were very innocent, no? Alexandra? imo she was sort of equally guilty for what happened with Rasputin using his influence on her. Alexei? suffered from his illness and would probably have died aged about 17, so his execution was completely unnecessary and an act of pure cruelty. Now back to the last Tsar, personally, he was a pious, friendly and kind (rather meek) man whom was never taught how to rule, he didn't even want it but felt it was God-given and so he had to take it. He was deeply religious and because of this lived a very austere life (their family house was actually pretty simple for what they *could* have been doing at that time) I agree he made the wrong decisions though The Empire was full of general rivalries, petty squabbles amongst the nobles and generals (rivalries in the army were so bad some even refused to communicate with eachother, obviously not helping the war effort) and to be quite fair with ya, anyone would have failed at managing the Russian Empire had that point, even if it had been Peter the Great. He was a family man, and donated a lot of money out of his own pocket to the poor when he was still Tsarevich, albeit anonymously, and continued to spend the majority of what he got from the government on charity, contrary to what Bolsheviks teach "he spent it on himself" he really didn't. He was an ally of the Church and the Church reached the peak of its power during his reign (one of the reasons why Bolsheviks decided to persecute it and destroy many churches later) His children were all virtuous and what you could nowadays see as "the peak example of what Christians should be like." No snobs at all, they didn't even have their own money to the point they only later learned how money even worked. Now, rlly man I got nothing against you but you understand how a "meme" about some innocent kids, retainers, and the children's poor parents getting brutally slaughtered can come across as disrespectful right? Other than that btw, the Tsar would never have been in a position to change anything, he would have been dethroned by his own nobility that held major influence over the Empire at such a point. I agree, he made some bad decisions (though he wasn't at all a bad man, and calling him "incompetent" is sort of unfair, considering the impossible odds he was up against, especially for a man without preparation and/or education, top that up with his son's illness he had to worry about CONSTANTLY as one small cut culd prove lethal.) He may have deserved trial and punishment for his poor handling of the situation (to the extend that that would have been fair), but his poor children (and his retainers for that matter) deserved no such fate, his children had to watch their parents die, and many of them watched eachother die before finally most were dead, Alexei (illness would have killed him off at age 17 or smth most likely) got an entire magazine spent on him and finally sustained two gunshots to the head as he tried to crawl away from his attackers (keep in mind the kid was fucking 13) Point is, Nicholas wasn't all that of a bad dude, he meant well, but couldn't do anything, nor did he ever receive the education on knowing what to do, he was a great father though, and it is truly a shame his children and the retainers got their lives robbed from them for "sins" that weren't there. Btw, take the popular information about him with a grain of salt by the way, its written by the victors and thus to communists who indoctrinated Nicholas and his family being "rich snob enemies" and wanted to make them look bad to justify brutally slaughtering them in the long run. I'd really suggest looking up some information about atleast his children by the way, makes it all the more tragic knowing how nice and kind they were. Edit: Don't mind the Grammatical errors in this message, I'm tired lmao. some more text: One of the central themes of the conference was the enormous charitable activities carried out by the Imperial family. According to historians, the Bolsheviks did much to shape a negative image of the Imperial family. They created myths that Nicholas II spent enormous funds for his own needs, although in fact he and his family lived quite modestly. In addition, each member of the Imperial family had their own personal “charity programs,” making sizable donations from their own pockets, for the maintenance of hospitals, educational institutions, and other charitable organizations. Nicholas II had enormous funds at his disposal, however, an annual budget of the Imperial Court was strictly adhered to, which included the personal expenses of the family. There were strict calculations, in which even the purchase of new clothes was regulated, says historian Professor Igor Zimin, one of Russia’s foremost experts and author of numerous books on the last tsar and his family. The Russian State Historical Archive has in its collection, an accounting book of Nicholas II. In fact, the ‘Emperor’s Personal Wallet’, record donations he made to a number of charities. These include expenses on pensions, the maintenance of boarders and the upbringing of children, donations, allowances, gifts and cash awards. Plus extraordinary expenses that went in favor of educational or charitable institutions, including churches. The accounting book records various sums of donations - 16,400 rubles, 44 thousand rubles, 11 thousand, 500 rubles, etc. The Emperor’s wife, Alexandra Feodorovna, initiated the annual Christmas trees for children from poor families. She contributed to the founding of numerous educational institutions, shelters, and hospitals. She worked as a Red Cross Nurse when the war between Germany and Russia began in 1914. It is impossible to imagine the spouse of a member of the Politburo working as a nurse in a soldiers’ hospital during Soviet times. During the war, her children asked that in lieu of gifts, that the money be given to help orphans and soldiers. “Once the sovereign with his family stopped at one of the railway stations. A local official turned to him telling the tsar that his small salary was not enough for his large family. Nicholas II promised that he would receive 30 rubles a month, and his son and heir Tsesarevich Alexei said that he would add another 40 rubles a month,” notes Chief Specialist of the State Archive of the Russian Federation Vladimir Khrustalev. “The Grand Duchesses Olga and Tatiana headed committees which provided direct assistance to those who suffered in hostilities as well as their families,” says the head of the history department of Kaliningrad State Technical University, Professor Alexei Khitrov. Their respective committees created more than a dozen forms of assistance and 30 projects to collect donations. All those in need received money, clothes, and work. They had the support of local governors, representatives of the diocese, zemstvo, city public administration, leaders of the nobility, and representatives of charitable organizations. In cooperation with the central government and the patronage of the Imperial Court, this created a system of democratic centralism, working effectively through the years of the First World War. In 1914, thousands of refugees from the Polish and Baltic provinces flooded into Russia. But thanks to the work of the committees, they were all fed, clothed and sheltered. The Olginsky and Tatiana Committees distributed 68 million rubles in aid. There were no allegations of corruption, dishonesty, or wasting money. By the beginning of 1917, the committees set up work on registering and assisting refugees. The Olginsky and Tatiana committees were recognized as the most viable of all the institutions of that time. They worked effectively until the spring of 1918, after the Russian Empire crumbled under the Bolshevik order. In terms of truth, I highly doubt their murders deserve to be made fun of, the children even refused gifts, preferring the money go to the Russian people during the war, but I guess the text covers as much.

    You should do Kaiserreich as well , preferably as Russia because they are the most fun, at least for me. They have to expand early and reconquer their territory, its like redemption arc or something! Good video as always! :)

    stege another great thing about Kaiserreich is that even places such as South America has not been forgotten and has plenty of content. I also recommend some Chinese nations if you want a short but intense campaign. If you really want to test your multi-front war capabilities, then when picking a nation, go to the options and make as many nation go socialist as possible before starting a game as Germany. For extra difficulties try to not intervene in any civil wars before the Weltkrieg, even if it is a member of the Reichspakt.

    For the next timelapse i have a few suggestions: the war of the worlds mod ( the martians), Al Capone Usa or Kigdom of two Sicily with Julius Evola (kaiseredux), Sweden in the base game (Kalmar Union), American Commonwealth- URSS or American republic in the red world and France Commune in Kaiserreich. I really like your timelapses, especially the one with the kaiserin and the one with Japan. Keep it up.
