I'm pretty sure they always do that whether or not they're under attack. They do so via their normal focus tree some time after the US joins the war.

About why Chile is so long: Because geography. Chile has clear natural borders: The Andes in the east, the Atacama Desert in the north and the Ocean in the west and south. In the colony, Chile wasn't so thin because had the western provinces of actual Argentina (Mendoza, for example), but the Spanish transfered these territories to Rio de la Plata (who become Argentina), because it was easier to connect with Buenos Aires than Santiago across the mountains. About why Chile exists: After the independence, Chile was the fastest to organize and growth in Latin America. When Argentina ended its civil wars, Chile was already a prey too big to eat and Chile even expanded against Peru and Bolivia controlling the majority (or all) the Atacama desert.

its incredible how people forget about history so easily and gets surprised when they find out that brazil will allways join allies in 1941 historicaly..

Maybe they kept joining the allies because they were in a war against a faction while they weren’t in one.

Paraguay are actually surprisingly annoying to take down, they have a big state modifier on their states that increase their defence a lot and also causes huge resistance.

When I first played the new DLC,I played facial chile and I got into a huge South American war with Mexico and Dominica,I did Non historical which I also had to deal with America and allies while the central powers are dying

Peru didn't get a focus tree in this DLC, only Brazil, Chile, and Argentina, with Uruguay and Paraguay getting smaller trees

Second be fascist before Berlin falls in the civil war. Third wait a little and there will be everytime an event. Fourth wait untill 1938 and there you have the Secret tree. Imma be honest... I would prefer that the Pan-Hispanic Rhetoric was more of a non-aligned/monarchist focus rather than facist... Like, Hispanism and Fascism aint that similar, and as far as I know, hispanism is more of unity yeah but also monarchist... Just saying... Overall I like the DLC :p
