THANK YOU for taking the time to do this. The ONE feature I wish this game had was an automatic "wander" mode where you could just have your character walk around while you take in all the details.

The amount of work that went into creating the castle with all those countless little details is mind blowing.

this is what I'd do in games if I'd buy them. I just want to wander around the map, take in the atmosphere, the details, admire the graphics and make my own stories while walking around. I'm so glad people do videos like these ♥

The quality of games they're making now is what I dreamed video games would one day become when I was a kid back in the late 90's/early 00's. How far they've come and in a relatively short amount of time. Amazing what is being accomplished these days and it's games like this, with the massive open-world that was masterfully designed with so many areas to find and explore within, it just makes me sit back in awe and do just this. Just walking slowly around and taking it all in. My childhood dreams have come to fruition and it's only getting better. But then you go online and it doesn't seem like anybody is really appreciating the new advancements, it's just all taken for granted. Everybody is always complaining about graphics, they could never good enough for some it feels. From my perspective, every single game coming out now looks stunning and it's a shame it's getting wasted on a generation that isn't fully appreciating it and is only insistent on finding what is wrong with it and being overly critical for no reason. People will literally complain that a game is bad because the water doesn't ripple realistically enough when you walk through it. Like, who cares? You're playing a modern technological marvel. Be quiet and learn to appreciate it.

Actually the graphics are stunning People are complaining more about the game mechanichs and npc s intellect This game is so empty, repetitive, with a story for 10 yo kids max ... and for a 2023 game, thats sad When AI will be more developped, games will have everything. Graphics and total immersion Look skyrim AI version Now the game comes to life. It is almost scary

The insides of the castle are very beautiful and peaceful. Please make more walking videos on Hogwarts legacy.

Some of these places are far larger in scale in this game than what the movies and previous harry potter games have shown!

What a beautiful video. It was ……delicious. From the ambience of all the hustle and bustle, to your camera angles! This was top tier ❤ also it helps me to appreciate all the little details that the creators of HPWW put into their game. And lastly it made wonder about all the NPC’s and what their stories may be.

the cutscenes feel like I'm watching a modern day harry potter movie. The devs did such a wonderful job trying to make this feel as real as possible

I hope the makers of the TV series take some inspiration from this game. The world-building is beautifully done.

I would prefer they do the exact opposite of this in every respect. It's way too large and way too fancy for a school that can't afford to compensate its staff or assist disadvantaged students with the financial burden of school supplies. The magical community in the British isles is very small, the class sizes in the books are consistently ~10 students per house so that's 40, times seven that's 280 students in the entire place. I can't even guess how tiny the student body must have been at the time when this game is set. There's absolutely no reason for the castle to be this huge.

​@@snowysnowyriver Rowling is notoriously bad with numbers and she has admitted this many times herself. 1000 students/7 years would mean 142 students per year. Clearly none of the class sizes are that large.

If Snape lives in a shit place, it’s by choice. Because it’s affected by his upbringing. Just like an office of his choice is the dungeon, not Slughorn’s office.

@@BrickTemplar I didn't say the teachers weren't paid at all. Just not well. Snape is far from the only evidence of this. And it's cute how you cited an example that is not in the books, when the Weasley family exists and their financial struggles are present throughout the series.

this is why i can't stop playing this game even after all the quests are done. the scenery too good with all the soothing ambience. i used to open pottermore just to listen it. there was also an ambience website with hogwarts great hall or gryffindor common room noises.

I’m one of the HP fans during the first films and I read the books a crazy number of times during highschool and college lol. With so much hype with the films etc, I guess I tried to shy away from the HP fandom lol. I still have a lot of games on my switch so I never really rode the hype with HL. After watching these videos, I finally understand why people are excited for this. The devs really did a great job recreating Hogwarts in this open world game, the graphics are amazing! It’s also no doubt especially for the book readers, how we almost all imagine being a student of Hogwarts lol, how we imagine how the school and grounds look like. Being able to relive it in this game is a dream come true especially for the HP fans. I don’t wanna be labeled as a hardcore HP fan even tho I read and rewatch the films several times but I am planning to still buy this game later on, once I can commit playing this continuosly haha. Lots of game backlogs on my switch so yeah, in time.

48:10 I've always wondered why there is a big, open fireplace in the library. Most (old) libraries forbid fire or candles alltogether. The bodleian library in Oxford even forbade electrical lights due to a fire that was caused by a mafuntioning electrical light once.

Of all the places in Hogwarts my favorite has to be the Library 📖

It's a school of thousands years. You can see the medieval architecture in some parts of the castle but clearly they built other towers during the following centuries

And student bodies in the past had to have been even smaller, if the birth rate of the magical community tracks with muggles'. There's no reason for the castle to be this huge! And Hogwarts isn't supposed to be fancy looking either. It's a school first of all, not a church or a private residence for nobility. The budget had to be nonexistent back when wizards were openly hunted. And it clearly isn't much better in the books, as the Weasley's don't receive financial aid to pay for school supplies, the custodial staff are all either enslaved (house elves) or loyal to the school out of desperation (Filch), and Malfoy gets to throw his weight around on the board of trustees or whatever because the school needs his money. Remember how he bought Slytherin a new set of quidditch brooms? Oh, and their teachers don't seem well-compensated either.. looking at Lupin and Trelawney. Hogwarts sure seems like it is operating at a loss.
