Here for sale we have a Hofner Ignition B Bass, a violin style electric bass in a Black finish. The Hofner Ignition range offers affordable versions of the iconic 500/1 Hollowbody Violin Bass, first released in the mid 50’s. This lightweight, easy to play guitar is really easy to get along with and sounds great both plugged and unplugged.
The back and sides are crafted using Flamed Maple with a Spruce top. The smaller size and light weight will suit those looking for a more comfortable guitar, however this does not take away from the sound which is still fantastic. The short scale neck with a ‘C’ shaped profile are really easy to get along with.
The controls on this bass are simple but give access to a fair amount of tones. Switches can be used to turn each pickup on and off, and also switch between the lead and rhythm circuits. Each pickup also has its own individual volume knob.
