this was the most articulate dance I have ever seen in my life. I saw it at Jacobs pillow and I couldn't stay still in my seat! The details, down to the last finger and toe, were all drawn out and executed in perfect synchronicity. I found the grooves and the weaving in and out of each other so captivating and unique to the environment Hofesh constructed. A masterpiece.

I was there too. Just the most moving and unique performance.

I am a classical musician who never cared much for classical ballet (some, yes) but have grown to absolutely love modern dance. I just watched the complete "Swan Cake" and it has become one of my favorite dance works after a single view. Schecter's score and choreography are genius . . . brilliant . . . but even more than that, beautiful, mysterious and fun. Every movement and gesture from every dancer made my heart blow up. Thank you! I look forward to more by this amazing choreographer . . . and these dancers!
