Hockey Stick Bows Explained!

Bows, bows and more bows! Where do you start with bows? Pro bows, mid bows, low bows, late bows, concave low bows, standard bows…. Did we miss any?!
All joking aside the world of field hockey bows is a bit of mine field. It can even boggle us and even the different brands can call their bows different names.
Here we break down the world of hockey stick bows!

    what are the differences between lowbow and extreme lowbow? Im a player who plays in first team and likes to dribble a lot. But i dont know what bow to chose for my new stick. Some sticks have like a cut in the head of the stick. Whats the utility for that?

    Yes I would say so, it's just about finding a bow that's appropriate for how you play/ what you want to do!

    @@mansolo7046 we'd always suggest somewhere between 70-90% carbon but it will depend on your playing level.

    A groove bow is a concave-faced stick. It's just a branding name for this from a few brands

    @@S1sssSSSS Pros are it allows the ball to stay on the stick for dragflicking, cons are that you don't have a square face for hitting/slapping
